Note 1. XXIV. Thomas Tusser.He wrote and published Fiue Hundredth Pointes of good Husbandrie. The first edition was published in 1557, entitled A Hundredth good Pointes of Husbandrie, but after passing through several editions it appeared in 1573, in an enlarged form, under the first-mentioned title. Tusser died in 1580. This work generally is not suited to this anthology; but among the manie other matters both profitable and not vnpleasant for the reader, mentioned on the title-page, are two poems which entitle the author to a place in this selection.
