Companionship

Nelson Antrim Crawford

From “Fragilities”

IN the intertwirling smoke of our cigarettes

Is a caressing sense of intricate congruity.

There is sea-blue in this quiet place,

And infinite crisp echoes of music,

Bound together with cords of uttermost fragility.
