Revelation, Book of


The last book of the New Testament, also called the Apocalypse. In this book, traditionally attributed to the Apostle John, the violent end of the world is foretold, and the truth of the last days is disclosed, or “revealed.” It describes Armageddon, the Second Coming of Jesus, Judgment Day, and “a new heaven and a new Earth” that will be revealed at the end of time.	1
