(nah-guh-SAH-kee, nag-uh-SAK-ee) City in southern Japan; one of Japan’s leading ports and shipbuilding centers.  1
‡ The first Japanese port to welcome Western traders in the sixteenth century, it was the only Japanese port open to the West from 1641 to 1858.  2
