DEFINITION:Central Semitic, to be(come) light. a. Urim and Thummim, from Hebrew ûrîm, perhaps plural of ûr, flame, light; b. Uriah, from Hebrew ûrîyh, my light (is) Yahweh, from ûrî, my light, from ûr, light + -î, my (yh, Yahweh; see hwy). Both a and b from Hebrew ôr, to be(come) light.
