The company wishes to enter a monthly rent expense. What is the chart of accounts number for rent expense? 740300 2: The SAP system is able to close the books at the end of a period by simply pressing a button. GL/IR function: Balance sheet account The transaction balance should amount to $0 after successful completion of a purchasing transaction in a company. Account Group: Determines the features of a general ledger account. Helps with managing and organizing the chart of accounts within a company. The account group can control the number range for the accounts, type of account, layout of entry screens, and mandatory/optional fields. Payables-Misc: Balance sheet account, no link to subsidiary ledger, allows user to post directly through G/L Payable-Trade Account- reconciliation account, does not allow user to post to it directly

Reconciliation Accounts relate to the general ledger (accounts payable in purchasing cycle) and are used to combine and reconcile the balances of subsidiary accounts or sub-ledgers within the general ledger.
