3rd Grade Graduation Speeches

You! Yes, I’m talking to you. Do you like school? I know you shook your head and wrinkled your face“no”, How about grades? I used to hate grades and not care about them. In elementary school, I didn’t know what they were until fourth grade. I usually thought teachers checked our knowledge to test and ignore the number of mistakes we made as long as we learned from them. I’ll tell you what, it’s “NOTHING” like that, especially in middle school. Back then I didn’t care about retakes or bad grades, but then something shot me like a ray of sun into the person I am today.

It is because of the unforgettable fourth grade year you provided to me that I chose you to be here tonight. It is also largely because of my fourth grade year that I will soon become a valedictorian of the class of 2017.

Good evening, parents, teachers, and fellow students. We are here tonight to honor our 8th graders from Heninger Elementary K-8 who have worked very hard to make to it where we are tonight. I’m one of the very lucky students that attended since pre-k and in my time here I have learned many things, not just educational but also life lessons as well and found many friendships. My fellow classmates and I are here tonight at our 8th grade promotion from Heninger Elementary. We are the graduating class of 2018!

Good Morning, Mrs. Williams Jones, Mrs. Babb, Mrs. Semper, Mr. Heaton, 8th grade teachers, families, friends, and the graduating 8th grade class. Thank you, for that very kind introduction, (INSERT NAME OF PERSON WHO INTRODUCED ME). And thank you, all for being here today at our graduation to celebrate our achievements and success. Most of you might know me, but for those who don’t, I am Jassnjot Kaur. I have been attending PS124 for nine years and I’m honored to speak to you today as your Valedictorian. Today is a very special and memorable day for not just me, but for all of us which includes us graduating students, our proud parents, and our pleased teachers.

First off I would like to congratulate everyone for making it this far. I would like to thank my classmates, my friends, and my family. I especially want to thank our teachers, for always supporting and encouraging us. If it weren’t for the people who support us daily, we would not be where we are today. I would like everyone to turn to their families, and teachers to thank them for all that they have done for us.

Dear administrators, teachers, parents, beloved friends, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 8th grade graduation. It’s a pleasure to be standing in front of you today on this beautiful day to express the happiness we all feel.

Almost a year ago I started my first day of high school, to some people that may seem like one of the least important days of their life, but for me it made me realize that it was going to be the last year I walk through those doors to attend class, and the last time I step out onto the soccer field with some of my closest friends. As I walked through the double doors that would officially start my last year at USA High School, I looked up and my entire graduating classes names were posted up on the wall, where soon our pennants of the colleges we were going to attend would hang. High school holds some of the happiest memories for some people, from times they were at Friday night football games with their best friends, or late-night adventures they went on, but for me it was being on the soccer team. Throughout my entire high school career, I was happiest when out on the field, playing against local schools with the people I have gotten so close to over the years.

Good morning, seniors and faculty. Today, I have the honor of addressing one of the most unique, talented, and resilient classes ever to attend Newfield High School. I hope that the advice I have to offer you today will enlighten you as well as your successors. Now, since graduation is a congratulatory occasion, before I get started, there are people who must be acknowledged and to whom respect is due.

Hi today I want to say what a great year we have had and for the fourth graders and under it's going to be a great time here all the way to fifth grade. You might meet some new friends you might not you might like something new like math or science but my point is change is sometimes good and dont be afraid of change.

Congratulations! You have been officially accepted to Motlow State Community College. We have received all of the required admission materials, and your file is now complete.

I started writing my first real essay in the Eighth grade, and I never knew why I was given such an awful task. I am a terrible English/Writing scholar and I never could comprehend the concept of writing. I put a lot of work and heart into my first essay, but that still didn’t get me the grade that I wanted. Needless to say I got a “D” on the essay. I was extremely disappointed in the grade I made and I wanted to reject writing all together, but that is not the kind of scholar I am, so I began my journey during my Eighth grade year to become a better writer. I had many academic goals that year, but my main goal was to excel on the English state writing test at the end of the year. The test would determine if I moved on to ninth grade English or if I would get placed in a pre-high school English program. To achieve my goals I knew that I was going to have to work hard not only on developing the papers I write, but also making sure they are grammatically correct, interesting, and that each story or essay gets the main point across as well.

Some people have asked to read the commencement address I delivered this morning to the 2013 graduates of Butler University. So here it is.

Middle school. We all started this journey as innocent little 5th graders. We are at the bottom of the totem pole. Big scary 8th graders shout at the back of the bus. Unfamiliar words and phrases are spoken in the air. This will be you one day.

High school is supposed to be the place where you have fun and a time in your life you’re supposed to enjoy. Movies often trick you into believing that high school is an amazing time in your life and there is nothing but parties and fun. In Bring it on, they portrayed the fun and exciting part of high school cheer-leading, however they intentionally leave out the tough times high school students’ face in school and in their practices. In other popular movies, such as High School Musical the students have no pressures other than the next basketball game. In reality, this doesn 't happen. The constant pressure is affected by the grade level you are in. In high school, students can be classified based on the pressures that are faced in each grade level into the categories of freshman, sophomores/juniors, and seniors. I am here to help you make your high school experience less stressful.

English class seemed to be the most dreadful to take within school. Writing essays for most of my grade in a class is not what I was looking forward too. When I entered college I knew that it would be one of many challenging classes I would have to take. Starting from the lowest English class to moving on up, the writing assignments became longer and more thought out. The time came when I got into this class that I knew more work was going to have to be put into essays and thus brought out what I had not seen before in my work progress.
