Jonas’ POV As I made my way down to the house, I noticed this warm and welcoming feeling in my chest. Home. Once I made it to the house, I knocked twice. “Coming!” a soft voice said. A few seconds later, the aroma of freshly baked cookies hit me as soon as an old lady opened the door. “My word, if you and your baby stay out there any longer you’ll freeze!” the old lady said. As soon as she said that, she opened the door wider so I could come in. I stepped in. Warmth came over me and covered me like a blanket. I looked down to check on Gabriel to see if he was okay and to my delight he was in my arms sleeping peacefully. His small chest rising and falling with each breath. Then my mind wandered to Fiona, her red hair and blue eyes just made me get this warm feeling inside. Love. “Well you must. Can I get you and your baby something to eat?” the old lady said snapping me out of my thoughts. “Ohh umm,” I said, shaking my head slightly while thinking about what I should eat. “I will have something warm and Gabe will have milk please.” The old lady then said, “Okay then, I will get you some hot chocolate and Gabe some milk” as she hurried off to the kitchen. While she was gone, I took in my surroundings. The old lady had many pictures of kids with big smiles on their faces and had decorated with garland and tinsel on many ledges. “Your drinks are ready!” yelled the old lady. Then, I made my way to her kitchen, and as soon as I entered the kitchen, I spied the
"So, Jonas, what brought you and Gabe here?" She asked one day. So, Jonas began to to her his story. About the community and sameness, and how everything is chosen for you. About their family units and houses, climate control and their lack of emotions. He told her about the Giver, and all the emotions the two of them held. And then, last of all, Jonas told her about release. About the twin and the anger that filled him when he saw the recording. And about Gabe: why they had to leave. Laura sat quietly, and when he was done, she still said nothing. "Jonas," Laura said eventually. "I want you to know that this is your home
Zoe dug through the bin, reasonably at first but grew franticly the longer she went down. Kevin at first stood off, watching the clothes fly out the donation bin.
Leaving the motel on Highway 74 around 3:00 o’clock, Marlene drove faster than usual to get home ahead of Jerry and Andrew. Smiling, her thought lingered on the last few hours spent with her lover. Pulling into the garage, Marlene parked her Mercedes, brushed her hair put on fresh lipstick, before going into the house, relieved she was home when her husband and father-in-law arrived. Wanting to surprise them, she went into the kitchen to make a pot of coffee, sat down at the counter and glanced through the mail.
When Pierce told the girl to run, he never expected her to outpace him. Instead of him being in the front like the typical movie hero, dragging the fragile female lead behind, his companion was pulling him to run faster.
Madeline stared out of the window of the jet as Egypt disappeared beneath the clouds. It had definitely been a trip to remember, that was for sure. She almost didn’t want to go home. If they stayed in Egypt, she could pretend a little while longer that she and Gabe could have a life together.
“... a miracle that she was found when she was. The symptoms from the smoke inhalation should clear up within a few days.”
Negan’s never been accused of having a handle on his emotions. Being with Lucille only exacerbated that quality in him. When he was with her, Negan was prone to dramatics. Negan wasn’t the only one to be so damn stubborn, though. Lucille was the exact same damn way about it. Lucille’s mother had put it in a nice way that still stuck with Negan to this day: “You’re young and passionate. So, what if that means you butt heads so much? That just means you’ll be even more passionate making up afterwards. And then I’ll finally get my grandchildren.”
I started spinning out of control. There were distorted faces smearing my vision, all crowded around me in a huge circle, not allowing me to see any of my surroundings.
Kate whipped her head around to see who the owner of that voice was. She felt relief and joy when she saw it was Mr. Jacks who followed her. Maybe he will escape with her. Mr. Jacks stood less than 10 feet away and his dog sat by his feet, his tail wagging.
“Oh my god, this morning is already too long.” I think to myself with a yawn as I walk through the front doors of the hospital.
We woke at dawn the sun early rising as me and my friend Mia,and Lala snuck out of our hotel room heading to one of the houses we saw as we drove around Hawaii yesterday. We walked up a hill where the house sat overlooking the Hawaiian beach.once we reached the top the house was there, it was small surrounded by palm trees as far as the eye can see ,it had a burned roof, broken windows, the white paint peeled off revealing red burnt brick, the lawn was burned ,but surprisingly the house was intact.”Dare you to go in.” Mia said nudging me forward “They say that this day ten years ago this place burned down with the owner’s little girl inside. They say he went back in to save her but she killed him when he did. They say if you light a match where they both died you’ll have the same faith as the father or little girl ” Lala said pushing me a bit further. “Come on do you really believe that?” Mia said arm crossed brow raised.”Eh, I believe anything.” lala said shrugging. I looked at the broken doorway that leads into the house, I turned back to them.”Fine but it’s gonna cost you, both of you.” mia and lala both shared the same smug grin that sent chills. “Ok. 50 dollars from both of us but you have to light the match to.” Lala said as that smug grin became dark as she extended her arm, revealing the matches in her hand. I looked at the box of matches ‘’of course you bought the matches” I said taking them hesitantly. I walked towards the door paused at the entrance. I slowly
“I will stay with Jade no matter what her decision is!” Peter exclaimed rather loudly, like he was in an argument with his sister Tonya.
A chestnut brown haired naive boy sat in the gloomy shadow of his cabin. The delicate spring air wafted the smoky smell of fresh cut grass into a sharply pointed nose and put his mind to ease. He felt his bare feet touch against the damp tender soil as the silver glow of the moonlight spilled from the sky upon the pages of his book. Lost in the adventure of thought he had almost escaped reality until the sound of his father’s heavy unsteady footsteps rushed into his ears. Immediately in shock, he stood up and scampered toward the narrow, pale backdoor and once inside the darkness of his home he stumbled around trying to find a hidden location for his treasured book.
The dark city of San Francisco was silent against the hum of the rain. Looming overhead was the Full Moon, almost completely hidden behind the wispy gray clouds covering the sky. Prue sat on the couch waiting for hers sister to come home, she felt a rising sense of irritation. The door of the manor swung open and in walked Piper she had a bag fill with things from Chinatown.
It was 9:00 PM, and I was by myself. The house was dark and looming, as I stayed in my room reading. An eerie creaking sound of the house settling filled the air, but was settling the explanation? I crept slowly into the hall, step by step, and made my way downstairs. When I got to the stairs I heard a crash from below. I thought, “Is there an intruder in my house?”
