The U.S. Government was responsible for Little BigHorn. In the Textbook, it describes how the Sioux were the cause of the war and how they brutally slaughtered all of the U.S Troops without mentioning the actions of the U.S. It presumes that the us troops wanted to hide the truth so the America doesn't look bad. This also happens in Document A: J.D Cameron Report. He's gives a report to the president saying that the Indians were attacking the settlers but without a reason. Both texts made it out to be the Sioux at fault. Having this evidence points towards the U.S. Government being at fault for starting the war. In Document B: Kate BigHead’s Interview, is from the indians point of view. It explains how the white settlers were harassing
The War of 1812 was a war that lasted for two years that helped the United States to firmly and officially establish its independence. After finishing with the concern of France, England turned its attention over to the United States. At first, the United States did not want to resort to war and fighting (Doc. B) but rather sort out their issues economically--because England had seized all ships that did not stop in the British port before heading to their other European destinations, Congress passed the Embargo Act and then the Non-Intercourse Act, allowing trade with all nations except France and England. Then, England refused to allow this trade to occur, so America had to resort to war. The Northeastern Federalists were not in favor of

The American people spread their messages in many ways from protest songs to protests. Protest songs were used as propaganda to send negative messages about the US and the war. One of the iconic protests songs at the time came out in 1965 by Country Joe and the Fish, “I-Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-To-Die” (Doc B). This song gave off the message to America that there are other things then just enlisting in the war and that there is a lot of money to be made in America, while still being supportive, like helping supply the Army with the equipment needed to fight (Doc B). This 1965
Britain had just defeated France in the French and Indian War. The treaty that ended the war gave Britain most of France's territory in North America. That territory stretched from the Appalachian Mountains in the east to the Mississippi River and included much of Canada. Most American colonists took pride in being part of the British Empire, which was then the world's most powerful empire.
In October, members of Bard Prison convicted of manslaughter faced off against students of Harvard University, an Ivy league school. Astonishingly, these prisoners defeated the college and proving that stereotypes are inaccurate. Similarly, certain types of inhabitants of the thirteen colonies faced discrimination, but were able to achieve greatness. By the time the revolution ended these colonists had each contributed towards the Continental Army. In fact, without the contributions of Women, African Americans and Europeans, America’s quest for independence in the Revolutionary War may not have been successful.
ames Madison was the President during the War of 1812. Madison opened Macon’s Bill No.2 which stated that American commerce was open to the entire world. Also, this authorized the President to reopen commerce with Great Britain or France. The only stipulation was that these countries had to withdraw their orders again American commerce. Napoleon saw this as a way to trick America and withdrew their orders. He still continued to seize American ships and do many other unlawful things. Madison decided to revive the nonintercourse with Great Britain. This was a mistake because Britain did not end up changing any Orders in Council. This made James Madison angry and he sent a message to Congress letting them know all of horrible things that Great Britain had done to their country.

In the eyes of the American people, the War of 1812 was another fight for independence from the British Empire, a negative influence on American politics and livelihood throughout its first generation as a nation. By achieving victory in their Revolution, they gained independence from the British Empire and established sovereignty over themselves. Americans hoped to prosper in their new country free of negative European influence, especially British. However, within two decades Britain began to impress American citizens once again in over 6,000 instances, which were presented to Congress by president Thomas Jefferson (Nevins). In addition to ship impressment, British citizens in Canada aligned with Native American tribes and aided them with
