One new technology that has had an effect on people’s lives is the Apple Watch because you can contact friends and family and know all the news from the top of your wrist. Imagine thirty years ago when you had to go home and get the computer or get the phone on the wall to talk to your relatives or friends. The Apple Watch has eliminated all these things by having the opportunity to speak and text whoever you want. Comparing an old watch, with just numbers to look at, to the Apple Watch is a huge leap in technology since we have figured out how to fit all these gadgets to a watch to fit your wrist. When my was in highschool, she said they had these big phones in their pockets and they had computers with a box in the back of them.
Did you know that over 60% of kids including teens already own an IPhone? I am not one of them, but I wish I was. I think kids should have an Iphone.
Dependency on modern media has caused up to depend on smartphones to tell time rather than wearing a watch. We text each other to communicate rather than using the phone to talk, and as opposed to watching the new we go to
The clock has put a time restraint on most activities because we feel as though we only have a certain number of hours in the day and therefore we are constantly running around causing chaos because we are supposedly very busy. With the introduction of smartphones, the wristwatch has become an accessory because we are always on our phones checking what time it is. I have noticed that I am constantly checking my phone for the time in class because I lack the attention span to sit through a long lecture.

Wrist Wearables are a fairly new market segment and they are mostly only marketed to a niche audience. With less than half the U.S. population with any knowledge of the existence of smart wearables and half of that population even considering buying one, the marketability for this technology appears slim. Although, the potential for brand awareness, along with customer loyalty, is huge and a beneficial opportunity for any company to get their hands on.
IN 2015 a gunman named Syed Farook had shot and killed 14 people in San Bernarda in the summer of 2016 the FBI asked apple if they could hack into Farooks iPhone. Apple refused, but the FBI hacked into the 1phone without their help. Of course, the FBI caught the gunman, but it brought controversy should the FBI be able to hack into iPhones? And no they shouldn’t! It breaks countless laws if they didn’t have a warrant. But if the FBI has a warrant, then whose Phone are they are searching and is apple helping. Apple did choose the right thing to do, not to hack into an iPhone, if apple would hack into an iPhone then they would be breaking the constitution and it is not necessary.
The ability to answer phone calls, get directions and check ones heart rate all from a small device on ones wrist was inconceivable. Apple has made this a reality with the Apple Watch.
The Apple Watch is merely the latest piece of tech to make its way from the comic page to the real world.
Like most my age, I am always equipped with a smart phone. Many would deem it necessary now a days. Some people get them as young as 10 years old. I only carry one per my parent's request. Not to say that I don’t enjoy the perks of having it with me: access to any answer for any question that might be asked, the capability to talk to my family and friends at any given moment throughout the day, and plenty of applications to screw around with if I find myself with extra time. It weighs almost nothing, so light that at any given moment I will panic because I worry I lost it. It holds a different kind of weight though. It is heavy in the moments that it is “lost”, when there is a fear that it is not with me anymore, and my parents will have to pay for a new one. It is heavy because there is a strong guilt that comes with losing something so expensive. The same terror comes when the phone is dropped. There may be a case around it, a thing meant to protect the device from the impact, but there is still some anxiety around it plummeting to the ground.
