Dear fellow citizens, as your newly elected president of the United States of America. I am here to address my plan to restore our economy to it’s fullest glory, with Scientific Socialism!
Our current economy is not working for our society. The free market economy only benefits some individuals and relies on the citizens to make decisions. Only a few individuals are able to have ownership of property or business, creating an inequality in society. In our free market economy we also have very limited welfare programs, which does not help the collective good. With my plan we are able to fix the issues of a free market economy to benefit everyone from the rich to the poor. With Scientific Socialism we are able to fix this inequality in society. Scientific Socialism offers a classless society allowing every individual to share wealth and power, also creating a society with no “classes” separating citizens. This would also reduce

With Neoconservatism it leaves many individuals in the middle and lesser class very vulnerable and is unreliable because you can not always guarantee the wealth of the rich is going to help the poor. However, with Scientific Socialism it can benefit everyone and not leave the class most vulnerable out. Scientific Socialism, also offers something more than Reaganomics. If we chose to use Reaganomics it would lead to the process of firing more individuals to support the government, leading to many more people getting unemployed. With the decrease in overall taxes and reduce government involvement, it would not always guarantee more employment in the economy. This will lead to many individuals with the possibility of getting unemployed. But, in a Scientific Socialism society we can guarantee everyone being employed and have an improved quality of
I agree with Davis-Moore 's thesis that social inequality is beneficial to society. Without social inequality everyone would be equal, earning the same amount of money and working at the same jobs. One of the major benefits of social inequality is that individuals have different occupations that differ in their importance in society. While there are some jobs anyone could do, like working at Taco Bell. Other jobs require a lot of skill, patience, and knowledge, like
First, the country as a whole must enlarge the amount of opportunity for its “most valuable assets – [the] people”, which would include redistributing incentives that would aid in interesting the youth in careers that would “lead to a more productive and healthy economy” (Stiglitz, “Of the 1%, by the 1%, for the 1%”). Next, the efficiency of the economy must be addressed because monopolies and special tax dealings continue to negatively affect the entire system. Finally, a modern economy that benefits society demands a government that invests in education, technology, infrastructure, and research rather than continuing to decrease the funding in these areas. These changes require the top 1% and the government to consider the negative effects of their decisions on the rest of the country instead of merely the positive outcomes for themselves. Once the drastic difference in the stratification between the top 1% and the 99% lessens, then the social inequality will also decline because the amount of prestige will no longer be as
The last issue concerning wealth inequality is the health and well being of the lower class. The high rates of social problems: lower rates of performance in school, life expectancy, incarceration, teenage pregnancy along with health problems like obesity and heart disease are directly effected by the United States high inequality. The reason for poor school performance is that children of the lower class typically do not plan on going to college because they cannot afford it. If they do not plan on going to college, they don’t believe there is a reason to put a lot of effort and succeed in high school.
When the resources in a society are distributed unevenly it leads to social inequality. Often inequality is understood as being socio-economic and it is now closely associated with social inequality. “Social inequalities are differences in income, resources, power and status within and between societies. Such inequalities are maintained by those in powerful positions via institutions and social processes.” (Warwick-Booth, 2013 p.2)
Another idea I have come up with is Education. Now, education may not fix the gap entirely but I do believe it plays a decent role in the inequality of income between levels. People who have a higher degree of education, beyond high school, are more likely to get a better paying job than someone without the education beyond high school level. I’m not saying that someone without a college education can’t get a decent paying job, I’m simply stating that it is more likely that someone with a college degree is going to get a better and high paying job than someone without one. I think a reason why a lot of people don’t attend college is because they can’t afford to. I believe that all education, no matter how high, should be free if a person chooses that they want to further their education after high school. It should be everyone’s right to go to college and they shouldn’t have to be in debt just to better themselves and the lives of their family. There was quote I remember reading once by an unknown author, it reads “What if the cure for cancer is trapped inside the mind of someone who can’t afford an education?” Now, I feel that this quote can mean the same for a lot of different
Make health care affordable to all people. we will work with all people and look at your income to get you an affordable health care.
“The 0.1 percent in the U.S. today account for more than eight percent of the national income” (Freeland). Economic inequality is also known as income inequality, and it has always been a problem. The gap between the rich and the poor is growing wider and wider because wealth grows faster than the economy according to Thomas Piketty, and people are not able to move up through economic classes according to Paul Krugman. Economic inequality is a problem that can be overcome with raise the minimum wage, expand welfare benefits, and provide higher education.
He assures the people that he will not raise taxes and that all changes that are made will be gradual as to allow time for preparation. He states that he will work with Congress to come up with the best solution and, “I will listen to anyone who has an idea to offer.” He suggests that there be voluntary personal retirement accounts. Under this plan set portion of your money would go to the people that are now receiving benefits. Another small portion is set aside for you to grow interest. This way the money is yours and only yours and cannot be touched by the government. As I think it should be. This way if you would like to leave this money to someone you are free to. Up to thus far I think that the President has hit many bases that everyone wanted to hear and that appealing to people of all wealth statuses has also very well rounded him. I also approve of his plan for Social Security because I like the fact that the money that I set aside will be out of the hands of the government.
society, the idea of income inequality is a frequent topic of argument. Many believe that a large income inequality distribution has a negative effect on a society, while others feel that it has very minor, nonexistent, or even positive effect. Some of the factors that affect the income inequality in the United States are low minimum wages, education, and discrimination of race and gender. The swelling income inequality gap in the United States has created numerous social, health, and human capital problems. There is a ton of information to digest regarding who the majority of money is split between and who is actually benefitting from it. There are numerous factors that affect the income inequality and the data associated with the results of it are rather
Imagine a nation brimming with smiling workers and a swelling economy. Doesn’t that seem like somewhere you would want to live? Well you can; if you support me, Ty Goldin, a member of the Populist Party, we can make this idea come to life. Face it; America is declining before your eyes. The plight of America is characterized by the tough times for farmers to survive, the complete domination of the American economy by massive corporations, and the extremely poor treatment of the average worker. I will help fight these horrible circumstances and make America the ultimate ideal nation.
Too often politic play a significant role where these programs aren’t as effective in leveling off the playing field for everyone. I believe the question is not necessarily what policies that ought to be implemented to reduce inequalities, but merely how to make the systems that are already in place work for everyone. For instance, social programs such as welfare is supposed to be helping folks that desperately needed them, and in many cases, these programs are often abused because of lack of oversight and improper distribution. The concept of these programs makes sense, but the reality is that these programs may help folks in the short term, and failed to address the issue of inequality at large. Another example is the unfairness of taxes; Warren Buffet, once said that he paid fewer taxes than his secretary. Well, that is our problem right there. And since the rich and special interest own Congress, it's no wonder why elected officials do not represent the interest of ordinary folks. To address inequality, we must resolve this issue from the top down, not from the bottom up, and what I mean by that is to tackle the corruption from top which consistently suppressing average people. We must start by demanding accountability of our government to ensure quality for all, not just the trickle down mind game, or say what folks needs to hear to just to earn
Donald Trump’s plan focal point is on cutting taxes and how that will result in many benefits towards the economy. “The president-elect has said he can get the economy to grow nearly
"Lower income taxes for all, with the greatest help for those most in need. Everyone who pays income taxes benefits - while the highest percentage tax cuts go to the lowest income Americans. I believe this is a formula for continuing the prosperity we've enjoyed, but also expanding it in ways we have yet to discover. It is an economics of inclusion. It is the agenda of a government that knows its limits and shows its heart." -President George W. Bush1
Under the president many jobs have been created, but the bulk of these jobs have been lower wage industry jobs. Jobs that are hard work, and barely help people pay their bills, and meet any other needs. Instead of just creating jobs, the government should have focused more on creating higher wage industry jobs to help lift people who are poor, or struggling. By starting my new country we will be able to create higher wage industry jobs, by one building the new country, and two creating opportunities for people to get ahead in the new
Inequality in the society has been an issue since the history of the universe and as we think we are bridging the gap between the rich and the poor we always find out that it is as a wide as it was. The poor will always exist in the society as the inferior group while the rich are the superiors who control various aspects and sectors of the society.
