Becoming An Audionician

Going directly to college after high school can be completely beneficial to one’s life. It is what the government encourages while in high school and can easily be accomplished. By attending college at a young age you can live the infamous college life that so many adults speak of as “the best four years of my life”. These four years can be achieved and should be enjoyed. As a young student, one can have the stamina to attend class with hours on end. As a current college student, I see many adults coming back to college because they have been part of the group that has tried to succeed while only having a high school diploma. The truth of the matter is those high school students that realize that a four-year degree in college can secure a place in life that is acceptable for them will be the ones to succeed; furthermore, these students are the future of America.

Going to college has been taught to be the next step in education after graduating high

Many high school graduates go to college or get a job after graduation. Some people think college is a waste of time and energy. What they don't understand is the benefits of college if you strive to be the best and achieve your goals. Many opportunities can be handed to you if you finish your education. College is worth the cost.

Why should you go to college? Well would you rather suffer a couple years and eventually lead to success or, take your chances and skip those years and have a little chance of success? Now, college doesn’t give you a 100% of success or a job, infact in the article “Why College Isn’t for Everyone”, states that “ a goodly proportion (more than 40 percent) of those attending four-year colleges full-time fail to graduate, even within six years.” ( “Why College Isn’t for Everyone” 78). Going into a four-year college is the best decision out of any other choices we have out there. It will give us an edge financially and be able to earn more than other people. Some students would not often consider going to college after high school and would directly join the work force. According to the article “Is College Worth It?” published by New York Times Now, “The pay of people with a four-year college degree has risen compared to that of those with a high school degree but no college credit” (1). Those who took the time and effort may get paid more in the long run. Therefore, it is not a waste of time as some of our peers say. While going to college can help you succeed in life, it is not for everyone. Some people already know what they want to do after high school and don’t need a college education to accomplish it. On the other hand, others do attend college to find what they want to do and it just ends up being a waste of time and money. College should not be required for every high school graduate.

Mark Twain once said, “Don’t let … schooling interfere with [your] education”. College is what most people envision as a definite thing for their future. What a lot of people don’t realize is college is schooling, and isn’t always continuation of education. There is no doubt about it that college is in the future, because anything less than that would be looked at as less than what is expected for them. Most people do not realize how many opportunities there are besides going to a four year college. Alternatives to a four-year college for a bachelor of science or arts can still be successful in allowing one to provide for their self and their family, because there are many alternatives, there is higher chance of not having debt, gaining experience straight out of high school, and by specific companies hiring someone for their skill.

As audio engineers it is our duty to bring the highest quality audio to all of our projects. These can range from studio recording, radio, TV, movies, games, forensic audio and what we will be going through in detail, live sound. Any form of live event, be it a rock band's concert, orchestral performance, stage play or even live sports events will need some form of sound reinforcement. Sound reinforcement consists of an arrangement of microphones, signal processing, mixing, amps and loud speakers to reinforce the sound of an event, ensuring that all members of the audience have the best auditory experience and can clearly and adequately hear all audio evolved in the event.

“Education is critical, college is not.” (Live Careers) As straightforward as it is, college isn’t for everyone. There are a plethora of reasons for not going to college, but it feels like a norm in current time. When you graduate high school, you are normally 17 or almost 18 which means that you are capable of your life after you’re handed the high school diploma. If a student doesn’t see college in their future, or it isn’t their dream, then they shouldn’t feel required to attend. An alternative could possibly be to get an entry level job, military, or volunteering. The point here is, college after high school isn’t necessary. While college provides tons of information and knowledge and could expand the range of hardworking jobs for an individual, it´s very expensive and proven to put students in massive debt. Some college graduates are employed in jobs that do not require college degrees, and after college they may have the degrees and knowledge, but they will have to pay of the debt before they are able to invest in anything as an adult.

For many, time could be better spent finding a job straight out of high school instead of spending years going through additional years of schooling that may or may not be beneficial to them. If you plan on having a career that could be learned through doing, you would benefit more from doing so instead of going to college. As Jason Saltzman, a contributor to entrepreneur.com, discovered, there are many rewards for this approach. “Many times I failed because I was never taught. However, failure comes with the prize of a many lessons,” Saltzman remarked. This ultimately led him to entrepreneurship and where he is today. However, “if you have a specific target of what you would like to do and that requires a degree, it's a no brainer that you should go to school” (Saltzman). For instance, if you want to have a career as a doctor, you’d need a lot of schooling and medical training. College isn’t for everyone. College education doesn’t mean that one can a better job than those that did not attend college, not all good paying jobs include going to college. Sure college is good for you but at the same time it can be a problem. High school graduate could go to community college, work construction, work at a minimum wage job, or they could join the military. College in not valuable because of the student loan debt, the amount of stress while going to college can lead to dropping, and just because you have a degree does not guarantee a long lasting career.

Many high school seniors choose to go to college over getting a job. They all make this decision with the belief that it will be more beneficial in the end. With this hope in mind, students are willing to pay thousands of dollars anticipating that it will have a greater payoff in the end. Although many people oppose this theory, students worldwide are willing to take the chance. Attending school for a couple more years is well worth it. With the goal of overall security and eradication of financial stress, attending college is more likely to foster success in the end.

We always believe that going to college is the best decision to have a prosperous future, to be more independent and to become an important person. Currently, the economy is very affected and people focus on how to acquire more money, either going to college, and get a degree, or simply, just working a lot.
