Hello, my name is Susan Stewart. I am a member of the Wheatland High School Grad Night Committee. The committee is comprised of Volunteers who plan and facilitate the Safe and Sober Grad Night event for Wheatland High School graduates. Committee members are meeting with local community businesses and leaders like yourself, to ask if they would be interested in supporting an event aimed at keeping our local teens safe on such a celebratory night.

Imagine your son going out to the real world he has a kid and a wife then there's a knock on the door and you look thru the peephole and the cops and their heads are down and you're confused you open the door and they tell you “Ma’am your son has died”,and you say how they say he has been gunned down by an officer and you know your son was unarmed and you're confused because your son has nevered been doing something bad.This and every day thing you see to african american some are innocent and unarmed and they get shot by police because they say they were fighting back or they were about to pull out a gun and this happens everywhere and police brutality happens every state and everywhere and it mostly happens to african american and other races.

I am sure that everyone of you have heard about aliens and UFOs. Indeed, we all have heard about the famous case of aliens and UFOs in Roswell, New Mexico. Most people might be interested in the topic of aliens, but I know that the majority of you just think of it as rumours and the existence of them are impossible. Therefore, I am standing here in front all of you to make you change your perspective. I am strongly confident that I have found the evidence of their real existence to convince all of you.

In the last few minutes here today, I must speak to the elephant in the room of growing civil unrest, policing policies and our growing racial divisions needs to be addressed for us to proceed on a One America platform. When the great Frederick Douglass addressed our very segregated country about some profoundly hypocritical celebrations of freedom by asking, “Search out every abuse and when you have found the last, lay your facts by the side of the everyday practices of this nation, and you will say with me that, for revolting barbarity and shameless hypocrisy, America reigns without a rival.” Douglas led the nation in a very pointed self-examination – he forced us to look at ourselves and our promises of Liberty and Justice for all and ask are we really doing what we say? Are we really living up to those ideals? However, we must sincerely ask ourselves today, does that last line of “revolting barbarity and shameless hypocrisy” still ring true today, as an everyday practice? Can we truly say that there have not been great strides made in equal justice under our law, new opportunities made available for all people, who are freely willing to apply themselves toward achieving their own greatness? Nobody, can honestly state that we do not have more work to accomplish our mission of life, liberty and justice for all, but, do we accomplish those focusing on race or freedom?

The most recent case in the news that involved a live stream on Facebook of an innocent black family. Diamond Reynolds recorded the whole thing. How her and her boyfriend Philando Castile got pulled over for a broken tail light by a Chinese police officer. Philando was shot four or five times on the arm. He did tell the officer that he did have a weapon in his car (a firearm) but that he was licensed to carry. Philando’s girlfriend Diamond claims that all he was doing was reaching out for his license and ID. While she is talking and recording she moves the camera across to show her boyfriend how bloody and how he was losing consciousness, and the cop was still pointing his gun while the officer saw that they had their young daughter in the

Red represents the color of blood. White is a symbol for purity and hope for Day of the Dead while white represents a ghastly color for Halloween. Halloween and Day of the Dead have different colors, Day of the Dead has vibrant lively colors like pink but Halloween has more dark deathly colors like black. Althhough they may share a few colors in common some could mean different things.

On July 11, 2016, regarding the Black Lives Matter group name, then the presumptive Republican nominee Trump said “a lot of people feel that it is inherently racist, ... It’s a very divisive term, because all lives matter. It’s a very, very divisive term.” On July 6, 2016, barely a week before Trump’s meeting with Associated Press, a fatal shooting of an innocent black man happened at a routine traffic stop in St. Paul, Minnesota. On July 7, 2016 the Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton said “would this have happened if … the driver and passenger would have been white? I don’t think it would.” The Democratic-Farmer-Labor party Governor said that the innocent black man wouldn’t have been shot and killed if he had been white and held a press conference

“Good afternoon fellow leaders!” projected Larc Blackwood, “I have all called you here today to propose an idea that can truly end all wars and national conflicts throughout the world!” The other politicians and world leaders snickered and whispered their doubts to one another, a few hopeful youths always proposed a “way to end all conflicts” a few times a year but they were always cast aside as futile attempt at something that could never be obtained, true world peace. “And how do we know your idea will be so different from all the others we’ve heard?” asked Wilson Brightland. Some folks say and support “Black Lives” and others, “All Lives”. As time go on, things take a turn ‘for the worse’. The ‘turn for the worse’ is due to the mindset of many people and the mass media. With time should come justice, peace and common ground on what is happening, but what if no one is supportive or have no knowledge of what is to come? The saying of “All Lives Matter” is deleterious and ruinous to the “Black Lives Matter” movement and support and to the black community by deteriorating their beliefs, livelihood, and mentality.
