Web Architecture Building a web architecture is a process that takes time and focus. Without staying focused and taking your time you may cause the website to be down for a long period of time. The best ways to reduce the chances of down time for your site when moving it, is to make sure that you pre-plan the entire process from start to finish.
The first step to moving the site internally is to build an internal server that will host the site. The server should run the newest windows operating system; this will allow all the newest features and ensure that your operating system is able to receive updates. After getting the server up and running you are going to want to install all of the patches and updates as well as give the server a static IP address.
The second step is to create the database on the server. In order to do this you will need to install SQL onto the server. The database will run inside of the SQL program. The database will be carried over from the backups that will be created before we move the site. This will ensure that all of the data that was entered into the system is carried over as well.
The next step is to created backups of the external site and its databases. After creating the backups, import them into the database that was created before. This step is crucial because without the backups you will have to recreate the entire website from scratch. We
A web hosting service allows companies and individuals to make their website accessible from the World Wide Web. This works by storing your website files on high
This statement indicates that there should be careful and deliberate choices when choosing a web server. Many different operating systems are available to use as a webserver. One of the most popular is Linux. Linux and UNIX are very reliable when it comes to security. Versions of Linux include Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS and Fedora. The advantages of Linux based web servers are easily modified, stable, and secure. Red Hat Linux is currently the best with regards to performance at large scale. UNIX is also a viable option when looking for an operating system. Comparable to Linux, it’s very reliable, easy to customize and secure as well. However, its hardware requirements and cost make it difficult to make it into a web server. Microsoft Windows Server operating systems are a very popular method for an operating system. Microsoft offers different versions of its server software including the 2003, 2008 and 2012 editions. The Microsoft platform is a great choice because most of the online applications are adaptable to use on their OS. Support for Microsoft is readily available as well, making it even harder to choose another OS. The only down sides are that it is not as secure as the previously mentioned Linux platform and because Microsoft uses licensing for their OS, it can be pricey to add to use for the system.
Q1. List six major steps that you would take in setting up a database for a particular enterprise.
Next, is server-side scripting, which is the code that powers the website and makes the website work and operate. It’s the mechanics of the website. Some examples of server-side languages are ASP.net, Java, PHP, and Python. Server-side scripting is the most important part of building a website because it’s the back end and it wouldn’t be a website without it. The last part, which is database technology, helps the website run smoothly. This helps manage the information stored in the database (McKay).
To build web architecture, System analyst should analyze the company’s business needs and develop a clear statement of the goals. Since we have the old site running it is important to understand the business and technology issues involved in the project. Determine whether the IT staff has the necessary skills and experience to implement the project. Consider
Your website will be setup so you can upload any website changes to a testing server. From there your website can be published. This will mean that at any time you should have 3 copies of your website (local, testing and published). The testing server will be backed up each day and if any problems are encountered your website can be restored from backup.
Tony’s Chips needs to strategically understand its vision, business requirements and organizational goals before building a Web architecture that includes functions such as serving as the back-up site and evaluating alternatives to the company self-hosting site. Tony’s Chips must employ qualified and knowledgeable information technology (IT) staff to manage its Web architecture. Desini and Griffin (2014) showed that knowledge workers could add value to their organizations due to their expertise experience and knowledge in particular fields. The IT staff must integrate their past and current experiences, skills, and knowledge in order to successfully plan, implement, and evaluate for the Web architecture. Employees who add values to their organizations can enhance the organization’s overall success and performance (Desini & Griffin, 2014). Tony’s Chips needs to consider hiring consultants who can provide its workers with training and development for the implementation of its project. Training and development are necessary for many purposes such as maintaining or gaining a competitive advantage over its competitors (Khan, 2009; Nelson, 2010). Tony’s Chips’s workers will develop ways to test the functional elements of the website for effectiveness and efficiency.

The project should be developed on a modular manner to test the functional elements of the website.
The first step in this process would be to hire a competent web design company with proven ability to create organized and functional websites. Every respectable web design company will provide a list of previous client websites that can be browsed and tested, this makes it simpler for clients to find a company that suits their needs perfectly.

| * Need support from individuals inside organisation * Uploading information is costly if the website can’t be edited in house. * Requires time and know-how.
The common attribute all successful information architectures share is a strategic purpose that is unified around specific, measurable, customer-centric goals. The more precise an information architectures' purpose and objectives, the greater the potential it has to attain a high level of agility and permanency in customers' and users' daily routines and lives (Spencer, 1985). Information architecture is the catalyst that unifies the mission or purpose of a website, serves as the catalyst of its short- and long-range goal attainment and also ensures its relevancy over time The intent of this analysis is to evaluate the discussions and interviews completed with colleagues with regard to creating series of recommendations that will provide present and future students of the BSITM Program with a roadmap of lessons learned.
1. Backups of all data, images, production systems, configurations, customer data, sales data, finance data, HR data, legal data, management data, IT and InfoSec data will be maintained via standard procedure, and stored not only at the main office but in another data center within another region of the US, such as a hot site, to be available for use at any time.
If you’ve ever been through a website redesign, chances are you’ll say it’s not a process you’d like to repeat anytime soon. The reason being the traditional redesign project takes enormous time, energy, and resources. Often it won’t be launched on time or on budget, and you won’t know if the decisions you’re making are the right ones until after the website is live – and at that point, making changes will cost you additional time and money.
A website ‘Business Dictionary’ states project to be a “Planned set of interrelated task to be executed over a fixed period and with certain cost and other limitations”. While in 1993 Turner said project is “an endeavour in which human, material and financial resources are organised in a novel way, to undertake a unique scope of work, of a given specification, within the constraints of cost and time so as to achieve beneficial change, defined by quantities objectives”. It can easily be said that any project faces three main constraints of Time, Cost and Quality (The Iron Tringle).
