CTC is definitely a company worth investing in. Due to the fact CTC is such diverse company no retailer in either the ‘brick and mortar or online’ sector competes directly with CTC. With so many departments and offerings for clients CTC is almost guaranteed to always be in a position of success because if one of its sectors were to experience any downfall there is a strong support system in place with its other offerings and strong and reliable history. A relatable way to truly appreciate the stable state of CTC is provided to the public on their website and listed as ‘Fun Facts’. Some of these facts that are the most interesting include: “The Canadian Tire Family of Companies sells enough rolls of hockey tape to connect Victoria and Halifax …show more content…
More than 80% of the population shops at a Canadian Tire store.” These are just a few of the many facts on their website and while each of them incredible on their own, when viewed collectively they truly showcase the success of CTC. One of the most impressive statistics indicates that 90% of the population lives within 15 minutes of a Canadian Tire Store. This gives CTC the potential to reach a huge audience, either directly in store or via in-store order fulfillment or local delivery, a position that will help it withstand competition from competitors such as Amazon. Along with having a substantial plan for future success and being a stable company currently, CTC is also very involved with the community and is inspirationally socially responsible. As mentioned above, CTC started and fully funds their Jumpstart Charities. This charity has granted 1,558,902 children and counting a chance to play since the charity was founded in February 2005. Not only does CTC give back, the way in which they get involved charitably is diverse as well. While their Jumpstart charity focuses on ensuring that money stays in the local communities where it was raised, they also have a Canadian focus, true to their
Urban Outfitters is a popular clothing and accessory store that was founded in 1970, and generates success from the type of merchandise it retails, as well as through the contemporary culture and ethos that it promotes to its customers. The store has stated that it is targeted towards a specific audience that ranges from eighteen to thirty years old, who are well “educated, [and] urban-minded” (“Urban Outfitters”). Urban Outfitters offers a specific shopping experience that is unique to its store, because it focuses on a well-defined audience that is attracted by its modern environment and trendy clothes. Many individuals are unconsciously lured into the store first by the placement of the store itself, then by what the consumer can see in the front windows, and lastly by the specific and well thought out placement of the store’s merchandise. It is evident that the theories regarding retail geography defined by Paco Underhill, including the stores location, the decompression zone, the invariant right, destination items, the

JCPenny was founded in April 1902 by James Cash Penny. The objective of JC Pennys is simple, to provide products to meet each and everyone’s’ needs. The stores have switch to promoting their house brands more than promoting brands that a shopper can get elsewhere. By promoting their house brands, JCPennys feels like they can increase sales because a shopper would have to go to Pennys to get those brands. The company is endorsing what they refer to as the omnichannel. This is the cohesiveness between stores and online to increase the ease of shopping for the consumer. Now the financial objectives are as follows,” the company provided financial performance estimates for the 2017-2019 period, as follows: Compounded annual comparable sales growth anticipated to be 3.0 %; Gross margin is expected to improve 75-100 basis points; Additional SG&A expense leverage of 215-240 basis points; Net income is expected to be between $450-500M by 2019; Earnings per share of $1.40-1.55 by 2019.” (JCPenny, 2016) I know that the company has tried many times to create a new image because they are struggling to meet the demand of the modern shopper. These latest objectives I

On 12/22/16 when returning to work I Ren Oldaker Loss Prevention Manager for Sportsman's Warehouse was alerted to a known theft subject (Case # Kt 16-20-234) that was in the store and was acting suspicious while in here. I went back and reviewed film and found the following:
Bo attracts too many customers because of his status which seem to be very profitable for Bo and Camille. Bo has nothing in writing and assigning his lease to Rana could be going against his lease. The reason for the success of the store is that of Bo. Bo's store is a sporting good store and the clinatal he posses may fall off if Fauna changes the whole business model and the feeling of the store. There is a possibility that Camille is objecting to the assignment for personal reasons and I do not blame her. Camille can argue that the contact between her and Bo is a personal service contract. Fauna will not successful bring in customers into the sporting goods store like Bo would; however, Fauna wants to change the whole business model. The

The Dollar Tree brand of stores has been around since 1986, when Douglas Perry, Macon Brock, and Ray Compton founded the chain as a compliment to their other business, K & K Toys (Parnell, 2014). Through the years, Dollar Tree has acquired several different dollar store and low-end retail chains to grow their business to over 4000 stores (Shetty, 2010). One of the first and most strategic moves that the company made was to shift away from carrying closeout merchandise and to become more of a traditional variety store with a wide variety of basic goods all priced at a dollar or less. To accomplish this change, the chain had to discontinue their current purchasing strategies and had to begin buying directly from manufacturers to change the type of merchandise that they had available for consumers. The second major strategic move involved changing the location of where stores are usually located. Up until this point, the stores had been being in enclosed malls. With this change,

This work is an introduction to the fashion industry of Pakistan which has made quite a lot of progress in just a few years. Ten to fifteen years from now, this industry was still unknown to actually exist to the masses. Today it is one of the most progressing industries in the country.
