Career As An Energy Technician

There are a great deal of jobs to pick from in addition I have made the decision to be an electrician. An electrician goes to residential areas and installs wire, light fixture, and outlets. The job also takes people skills for the reason that you work with people every day and must meet there needs if you want them as a longtime customer. It is one of the fastest growing jobs of today; there are hundreds of them just here in Colorado. An electrician will not require a college education. An education in business would be okay if you were to start your own company. To be an electrician you are required to have a 4-5 year apprenticeship and journeyman's license. It is not all serious though it also pays a significant amount. Picking a career is a significant process thing there's apprenticeships, getting the job, and making enough money to support yourself (NECA, 2016).

From the moment we wake up in the morning and turn our alarm clock off, to the moment we turn the lights off and fall asleep, we are using energy. Throughout the day an average person will use a cell phone, a computer, a television, an oven or microwave, and many will ride in a car or bus: all of this takes energy. Energy is even being used while we sleep to power the same alarm clock that wakes us up each morning. Individuals in first world countries are large consumers of energy, but where does it all come from? What powers most of our modern day conveniences? The United States Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates that as much as eighty-two percent of the United State’s energy demand is met by using fossil fuels (Fossil Fuels), and in 2012, fossil fuels made up eighty-seven percent of the energy consumed worldwide (Gonzalez & Lucky, 2013). What are fossil fuels then?

Since I was young I always was a hands on type of kid. I see people who weld and think, wow, that's really cool! Getting to create anything you want from metal seems pretty cool to me.After looking through the working conditions, the education and training requirements, the salary and job outlook for a welder, I have more knowledge of what suits me and what I want to do for a career.

In looking at my career choice of being an Automotive Technician, I can relate how that career field has changed in the last several years as influenced by the United States position in the Global Marketplace in relation to the Automotive Industry. As was pointed out in the video, students from all over the world are coming to the US to obtain their education, whether that education is in the field of medicine, technology, engineering, etc. This strengthens the United States position in the education marketplace, but at the same time, the end result is strengthening the potential of so many countries as those students take the knowledge they have acquired back home and utilize that education to improve their countries global position. Chemical Technicians work in labs and factories and are responsible for monitoring chemical processes and testing different chemical products. They do different tasks, such as analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting their conclusions. They do lab work and perform complicated analyses. Some technicians clean and replace filters. Chemical technicians also set up apparatus for chemical reactions.

Fluharty knowledge, anything could happen. The biggest risk of being an electrician is being electrocuted, any electrician should have in depth knowledge of electricity.

A residential electrician is one who installs and maintains the electrical systems and lines in your home. They also do troubleshooting and repairs. When working as a residential electrician they may also be involved with the planning of the electrical designs in new homes. Having their input is valuable when determining the correct placement of lighting fixtures, ventilation systems, heating and air conditioning, and electrical outlets. For new homes under construction, they may help to initiate the establishment of temporary power systems. The electrician may also advise on the installation of different residential electrical systems and circuit breaker boxes.

I have chosen to pursue a career as an electrical technician, because I live in Southern Indiana where there are many power plants, that offer a good salary and benefits of a Union, for this area it is one of the best jobs. I also have the benefit of having a farther working at the nearby power plant to communicate what a good job this area of study can be. The world we live in is very dependent on electricity, so having a background should always allow me the opportunity of some type of job in any location.

What is the pay that someone could expect from this job? The median annual wage for wind energy technicians, which is the amount that half of the workers earned more and some earned less was $51,050 in May of 2015. An apprentice in this career field earn 60% of the wage of a fully trained technician, and receive more as they learn more.

Have you ever wonderd or have wanted your future job to be an electrician? Well if you do there is a program called the Apprenticeship program that helps you reach your job as an electrician. The apprenticship program is combined with paid on the job training at a tecnical school, you must be 18 yrs old to qualify. In the program they they teach you safteynesss, how to read blue prints and how to work with wires. An electricians work can be inside or outside. If you are willing to do this job you must be fit, being fit is important because you have to do a lot of streaching and knee bending and you have to be very carfull while connecting wores.

In the world as we know it today, technology has evolved in a way that it has become an everyday necessity, an integral part of our daily lives. Although this is the case, most people do not know the basic fundamentals of how this technology works. Many people do not know how to repair and troubleshoot the basic things they need. For the individuals who need to seek after a profession as an auto technician, going to a respectable auto workman school is an awesome begin to making progress. The potential to create exceptional, innovative products through the use of electrical engineering and embedded systems have always fascinated me. From the miniaturized circuit boards in smartphones and tablet PCs to the large-scale embedded electronics used in aerospace systems (Bozzano, Cimatti, Katoen, et. al., 2011) electrical engineering has long fascinated me. One of the most significant factors that led to my passion for this subject is the revolution that is occurring in the areas of mobile processors, avionics and aerospace systems, where embedded systems are critical to the navigational integrity of the vehicle. This revolution in embedded systems is also leading to an entirely new era of performance in avionics and deep space exploration, which promises to deliver insights never learned before from previous technologies (Kadayif, Kandemir, 2005). Due to all of these factors I am extremely interested in electrical engineering and pursing it a graduate degree in this academic discipline .
