Gina Reinhart and the Chinese government have entered negotiations for the creation of a massive live cattle receivable area near the city of Shanghai. The industrial park, which would ideally be located in the eastern coastal province of Zhejiang, would be capable of holding up to 12,000 cattle at one time. Chinese economic development officials held a press conference with a delegation of journalists from Australia and said that Hancock Prospecting, a company of Mrs Reinhart, was interested in being involved with the new industrial park. They also said they were on the lookout for more companies which can help make the development doable. The officials said they were in talks for gaining the appropriate quarantine procedures and import permits

In the book, Shanghai Girls, by Lisa See, some of the characters experience hardships through their lifestyles, relationships, and with themselves. However, the manage to get past the tough times in their lives, so they can move on forward to a better life.
