This 25 minute interview was based on a case study that I used to show my knowledge around the Problem Solving Process (PSP). The case study involved a 25 year old female who has been bitten by a dog and was now experiencing fear of leaving her home, the setting was community Occupational therapy (OT). After identifying the clients strengths and concerns I was able to develop OT problems and goals for the client. The majority of this interview focused on my application of the intervention. For this particular case I utilised aspects of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT) such as socialization, graded exposure and homework which included mindfulness.
For this assignment I received a mark of 90% percent. My results showed that I displayed clear
Constant assessment of the clients’ problems and cognitions is very important in evaluating if techniques are being effective. Often in the beginning there is an extensive interview process that can last several hours. This interview gives the therapist insight into the client’s past, what the current problems are, and client goals. The interview will allow the therapist to set up a structured plan for how the therapy will proceed.
Brighton High School needs to incorporate core subjects in classrooms other than those tested on core subjects. In order to ensure school-wide student achievement, Brighton High School will incorporate literacy and math in Career Technical Education (CTE) classes beginning the 2015-2016 school year. To ensure higher rates of success and accountability to the students, the mastery learning model would give teachers the necessary framework to articulate their understanding across the curriculum through the literacy and math integration (Henson, 2015). By using Leadership Team, aligned curriculum, and curriculum maps, teachers will be empowered to make the literacy and math integration successful. Previously, there has not been a

5.1 Problem solving approach is a traditional and foundational aspect of general social work practice. It is based on identifying a problem or set of problems facing a client, and formulating a framework of possible options with the hope of fixing the problem or improving the situation. Although the worker may guide the client and inform them of the possibilities and options available, the client is still solely responsible for their own choices and actions. The formal application of this principle is the definition, assessment, setting of goals, intervention and resolution.
The concept of doing a social work simulation interview is easy to digest and imagine. It is in the practical application of said simulation that feelings of nervousness, embarrassment, and tentativeness emerge. Coupled with the addition of an audience, the stress of performing ‘correctly’ is compounded. Thinking theoretically about social work gives time for insight, reflection, and the creation of various forms of practice application, dependent upon the environment, client(s), and issues involved. I was surprised how quickly my training was mostly forgotten when confronted with a live scenario; falling back on my gut reactions and intuition to guide my session. In this essay I will attempt to describe the client and practitioner demographics, exchange, and contexts, with a focus on my social location and reflexivity.
In response to my marks giving on this assignment, I am not completely shore as to why I was given 67.5 percent. sincerely I believe was the most important aspect of this assignment. This assignment was written before, I fully understood how the money is being spent. I have put a lot of thought into this assignment; I have spent hours on this assignment and ensure my complete reflection was both honest and timely.
In this paper, I will discuss the case study of “Ana”. Ana is 24 years old, has lost her job, and worries about becoming homeless. She currently is a single parent due to her husband being deployed in a combat zone overseas for the next eight months. Ana is a first generation immigrant from Guatemala; she comes from a large family. She claims to have a close relationship with her family but has not seen her family for about a year. Her father is a banker and her mother an educator, her three siblings all has graduated college and have professional careers. Ana has completed one year of college, but needed to leave school after her son was born, finding it difficult to manage being a parent, student and a full-time employee as well. While showing signs of being depressed and anxious, she has agreed to eight sessions for treatment. Using this background information in this paper will cover the use of Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) for the treatment of Ana.
Tan further explained a self –developed eight key features of a biblical and Christian approach to CBT.
What is really interesting about the intake process, and what it looks like at my field placement. A pre-plan is a billable service that the electronic medical record takes into account for an intake appointment. The pre-plan is a therapist and consumer’s first insight into what the consumer wants to gain from this alliance, the desired optimal result to be reaped from this connection. It is my view that this person-centered planning approach goes beyond rapport building and actually begins the construction of a therapeutic alliance or bond (Bordin, 1979). I was present for V’s pre-plan where he gave us a brief overview of his goals and the tasks that he felt that he was comfortable and confident he could carry out with the support of his family and new therapist (MacEwan, 2008). The pre-plan prompted questions like, “What are you good at? What are some strengths you have?” He answered with a full-on smile about how great he was at video games, listening, reading, using his hands to make or fix things. V’s aunt could not help but agree and added additional information including that he is a whiz at all kinds of electronics and appliances. The other clinician, myself, and this family talked about books and even found some standards that we all liked in common. We made sure to remind him during this time that he would be seeing another therapist, a man like his aunt so adamantly requested and we confirmed that he would be aware of all he was

Nicolay Walz, Keith Yeates, H. Taylor, Terry Stancin, and Shari Wade examined the long term effects of TBI’s after 18 months after the injury occurred in children. 147 children were involved in the study between 3 to 6 years old; 85 children were diagnosed with orthopaedic injury (injuries and diseases within the musculoskeletal system), 43 children were diagnosed with moderate TBI, and 19 children were diagnosed with severe TBI. Results demonstrated that children who were diagnosed with both types of TBI’s performed worse than children diagnosed with orthopaedic injury though a variety of testing methods (Walz, N. C., Yeates, K. O., Taylor, H. G., Stancin, T. and Wade, S. L., 2012). Tests consisted of a narrative (reading of “The

After doing the role-play video, I realized that this assignment a great learning opportunity for me as a learning professional to utilize and display all the information I have learned from the beginning of the Social Service Worker (SSW) program and at my practicum, up till this moment into practice. I chose to use the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in my role-play video, as this is the therapy that will help the client to make a positive change and help dispute his negative distortions – Scenario #1. This scenario clearly states the client’s presenting concern with having an anxiety around having fears of talking to others or being in public. In order to support the client, first, the counsellor must ensure to use appropriate skills and counselling techniques that will meet the client’s needs during the helping process, most importantly, to develop a therapeutic alliance with the client in order for change to happen. Secondly, it is important for the counsellor to be aware of the client factors and to take it into consideration when working with the client, as the client is the expert in his life. Thirdly, it is important for the counsellor to build a working relationship with the client, in order to gain the client’s trust, respect and to increase his commitment towards the helping process. Finally, the counsellor must have an understanding of the placebo effect and its important because it significantly impacts the client
