The most appealing to me is the How to Interpret Job Postings; I find this interesting because even though it is an easy enough task, having some insight can go a long way to cutting down wasted time. The “How to Interpret Job Postings” seminar has a great tip to maintain consistency throughout the cover letter, resume and interview. Another interesting point is that even if you are only 75% qualified for the job it is still okay to apply for the position, just make sure to use common sense and only apply if you believe you can do the job (Portal.csuglobal.edu, …show more content…
I enjoy the challenge in problem solving, and welcome the opportunity to do so. According to an assessment on the personality pathways assessment, I am an introvert, sensing, thinking and judging personality (Reinhold, 2014). The assessment states that my personality type enjoys fixing problems in a detailed and organized matter. I agree with the assessment and found that to be true at my job as well as in my personal life. I enjoy gathering all the details to make the best decision available. Effective problem solving is a very important part of leadership and is a significant factor in team
Many young students want to pursue a career in accounting but are still wondering whether the possibility of matching this job or not. In general, the accounting industry is considered the industry that many students including myself choose and study. Graduate, students easily find a job and have a steady income. Not only easy to find a job and a stable income, I began to choose accounting because of the peculiarity quite "comfortable" of the industry: not too demanding, picky, I just have to like working with the numbers and skills required when working with numbers. Since accounting is an indispensable part of all companies and organizations, so this is one of the best craft unemployment negligent that I want to purse.

I hope to continue to work towards my dream of becoming an accountant by furthering my education in the department of McCombs at the University of Texas at Austin, the number one school for accounting. Although it would be expensive, that’s the school I’d like to attend because I believe that it is the best place for me to get myself to the upper percent of accountants as fast as
My forte is drawing and designing things. My instructor says that I have good problem solving skills. My friends speak highly me being good at keeping calm and solving problems under pressure. I’m also very cooperative when it comes to team work. My only weakness is when does not know what to do unless I’m setting specific goals.
Throughout my years attending UW-Madison, I have come to realize that I do not want to pursue a career as an employee for my life’s goal. For much of my adolescent years I watched my father build his own accounting business from the ground up which has been very formative in my career goals. The freedom and flexibility of time that my father’s self-employment has given our family is something that I hope to emulate one day for my own family with the help of the Certificate in Business.
I have a grown up surrounded by the bookkeeping, accounting, and tax preparation professions, as my father has held his CPA for nearly 40 years and my parents operate two successful income tax preparation offices. While in college, I eventually chose to complete a degree in finance, wanting to branch away from accounting while still being able to take advantage of the knowledge gained from my upbringing. However, after having experienced multiple professions, my current employment as a contractor in Chesapeake Energy’s accounting department has inspired me to pursue furthering my education.
I am currently studying Accounting at the University of Florida with the possibility of pursuing an education in tax law while in graduate school. Accounting appealed to me as a good major because I am interested in how to develop or maintain a successful business. I choose to pursue an Accounting over a General Business degree because learning the value of how to handle and manage finances is critical to understanding how a business operates. An Accounting degree also opens up many doors in the business world, which can help me achieve my goal of becoming a CFO or CEO.
First off, my top priority for attending college is to depart with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I do not wish to merely earn my degree by passing with the minimum requirements, but I want to exit college in the same manner that I will be exiting high school, leaving a permanent impression. While in college, I do not want my education to be restricted to the classroom, but I want my education to extend to internships, conferences, and banquets where I can learn more about the field of accounting from those who thrive in that environment daily. I plan to make the most of my education, to utilize all my resources, and most importantly to take advantage of all the opportunities I am presented with to ensure my

A problem solver is the most important person at Walmart. Although hard work is a necessity, problem-solving skills is the greatest trait an individual can possess. A problem solver is a natural born leader, and from the moment they enter the store, they take charge. The problem solver is able to find solutions to tasks when no one else can, and they excel when put under pressure. These special individuals are essential to the daily operations of Walmart. Problem solvers often go on to become store, regional, district, or even market managers. Without employees with problem-solving skills, Walmart would not have been able to maintain
I have exhibited my problem-solving skills daily in my job at Target. As a Target employee, I am required to help customers find items that may not be on the shelves in the back room. When I first started, it was daunting to find these items by myself in the backroom, but by learning my way around the back room and asking for help, I could help customers on my own. I used my resources to have a better understanding of the situation and solved my way through the problem. To be any type of engineer, you need to think critically and problem solve. There will be times in my career in which I need to complete a difficult project and I need to use my problem-solving skills to complete the task. I have already gained and practiced problem solving, so I will be better prepared for the future as an industrial engineer.
Following the undergraduate degree, an accounting student would choose an exclusive area to specialize in and work towards a completion of an additional year in university to finalize the 150 credit hours required in accounting to be eligible to sit for the Certified Public Accounting board exam. The 150 credit hours are needed to obtain the required body of knowledge and to develop the skills and abilities needed to be a successful CPA. After the theory portion of the educational experience is completed, the most important aspect becomes practical experience. Practical experience is what drives the market. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants requires that either a one tier or two tier systems is required to obtain the CPA designation. This requires that relevant work experience is needed to become certified. This hands on experience helps to position a potential certified public accountant for a long and successful career. This professional curriculum is very detailed and requires a lot of individual steps entailed to reach the point of designation. If it were made into a professional school these segregated steps combined together would not only help to make things simpler, but it would allow the accounting profession to be similar to the curriculums of medicine, pharmacy and law. With an undergraduate degree, graduate theory and practice for four
