World War 2
Germany signs the Treaty of Versailles that officially ended world 1. World War 1 was a destruction to human life.
World War 1 was viewed as pointless because there was nothing solved and they end the same place they started at. Due to the death toll the United States changed the Foreign Policy to
Intervene to Isolation which means that the United States does not get involved with foreign country affairs. A better way to explain United States Foreign Policy is by high and low tide being isolation. Although the United States Foreign was isolation before World War two started it changed to interevne after the attack on Pearl Harbor which pulled the United
States into the war which was ended by the dropping of two atomic bombs.
The United States foreign policy is changed to intervene during World War one. In 1920’s was the end of World War One at the Treaty of Versailles. This war was pointless and was a massive destruction of human life. (Bigelow) At the end of
World War One there were no progress everybody ended up in the same spot they started at. All the countries that was involed in World War One agreed not to go to war again. The proof of this was an act called the KellogBrand
Act.
(Bigelow) This act out lawed war.
Hitler was not always a powerful leader. Hilter was born April
20, 1889 in Braunav, Austria. As a child he was a poor student in high school. (Hoffmann) Hitler was a very poor student shows that he was not always powerful.
> When WW1 was finished in November 11 1918, the Allied Powers signed the Treaty of Versie in which blamed the Germans for the war. This treaty made them lose territory, pay for the expenses of the war, and lose military control in which left them in a disastrous state. In the late 1930s, WW2 was about to occur amounting to a tragic event that would later go down in history. A German leader named Adolf Hitler wanted to conquer the world, but primarily he wanted to take Germany out of the misery that was put upon them. He boasted his military without the Allied powers noticing and he gained different territory. Most of all he put ideologies in the German people's minds. He made them believe that the ones that caused all of their defalts and
When Hitler, the ruler of Nazi Germany came to power, he thought the Treaty of Versailles was not just with the Germans and decided to increase the German empire. He started by annexing Czechoslovakia and slowly started to attack nearby countries. This enraged Britain and France who declared war against Germany. Since France fell in the early stages of the war, the United States had to help Britain, in order to defeat Germany. The US was justified in intervening in WWII because the Nazi’s would come to power and they would conquer the European nations which could lead to their increase in power and threaten democracy. The Japanese were also rising to power and trying to control the Pacific. The US was decisive in winning the major battles
After years of extreme devastation and gruesome bloodshed, World War I concluded on November 11th, 1918 as the Allied Powers claimed victory and the Axis Powers accepted defeat. In order to promote peace, finalize the outcome and prevent another large scale war, the victorious Allied Powers created a treaty, the Treaty of Versailles. Under the terms and conditions of the Treaty of Versailles, Germany and its allies were harshly sanctioned. Germany, viewed by the Allied Powers as the primary inciter of World War I, received the worst repercussions and was forced to single-handedly bear the financial burden of paying for the entire war. Leaving Germany, an already depleted country, accountable for all war reparations sent them into deep depression and great desperation. Ultimately, Germany’s deplorable state led the nation to turn to the infamous radical leader, Adolf Hitler, who provoked World War II.
After WW1, the treaty of versatil was passed which blamed the war on germany and forced them to pay the war debts, this lead its economy to debt and facilitated the Great depression. Its people were furious and were in need of a change, this gave way to a Adolf Hitler, a dictator, and authoritarian whose public speaking and action quickly gained him support and control over the German people. Hes hatred towards jews(seeing them as inferior being) and allied nations made him prep and remilitarized germany for revenge.
Adolf Hitler, once known as the German dictator had an interesting background. He was born on April 20, 1889, in what is now Austria. Hitler came from a big and poor family, where he was the fourth child out of six. Hitler was a good student, yet, he dropped out at the age of
In the early years of Adolf Hitler was born in Austria of 1889. Hitler dropped out of high school. He rose in power in the German Politics as leader in the National Socialist German Workers Party which is also known at the Nazi Party.
Before adopting the name Iran in 1935, the country was known as Persia. At this point, Raza Kahn became Shah, or emperor of Iran. Kahn ruled as an autocrat until being forced to step down in order for his son, Mohammed Raza Pahlavi, to take the throne at the beginning of World War 2. During World War 2, Iran became occupied by British and Russian forces, but was largely absent in any participation in fighting the war. The Iranian government attempted fairly successfully to avoid combat, and with it the probable demise of the nation during the war. Following World War 2, in 1950, Iran saw the brief rule of Prime Minister Ali Razamara. Razamara was assassinated merely nine months after coming into power, and was followed by Mohammad Mossadeq. In 1951, Iranian parliament voted to nationalize domestic oil exports. However, as the oil industry in Iran was still largely controlled by the British, Britain imposed an embargo on all oil exports, demonstrating its power in manipulating the Iranian economy. The Shah was forced to flee the country as
World War II was the second greatest war of the twentieth century. “This was appeared to be a continuous conflict between the thirty years war and fighting separation by an uneasy truce to some… To others, that point of view distorts the situation by implying that the second war was the inevitable result of the first and its inadequate peace treaties.”[1] This war was an outcome of the previous war and the actions taken place to resolve the major issues. From all of these issues that were from World War I it created a mass epidemic, out to destroy the nation. “World War I and the Versailles Treaty had only a marginal relationship to the world Depression of the 1930s.”[2] Adolf Hitler had a plan to bring borders of Germany together to make one complete nation. Regardless, of all of Hitler’s commands and
World War two was a massive war the was legitimately fought by every country in the world that matters. It was a blood bath, raging from europe all the way to Japan. All because of one man looking for revenge power and the glorification of not only himself but for his nation. Adolf Hitler wanted to restore his country from the terrible loses it had gained from the very destructive World War one. Adolf brought hope and happiness back to Germany, he was in the works of returning their once destroyed economy, the people loved him and this in fact was his downfall and the downfall of that world and the creation of the world we live in today. World War ii brought countries together, and shoved others apart. It made clear where everyone in the world stood and what role they would play in the not so far future. World war two marked a rebirth of the new world with new and greater superpowers that walked the earth. It gave extraordinary power to them and marked who was with who in this battle of these two sides. The communist and Capitalists. And because of world war two the battle for control of the world is an all too familiar reality.
During the 1920s the world finally looked like it was at peace, but unfortunately that shortly was to end. In Germany a man named Adolf Hitler was very dissatisfied with the outcome of WWI and strongly believed that the Treaty of Versailles was very harsh on Germany forced the German government to take blame for starting the war, to fork over 33 billion dollars to repair war damages, having their army severely reduce to just 100,00 soldiers, as well as losing all of their colonies in the Middle East and Africa. Due to this Hitler strongly believed that Germany needs land and resources and prevent and protect itself from becoming a slave nation. Holding these strong and communist beliefs, as Hitler rose to power he became the Dictator of Germany.
Hitler had risen and taken over Germany using persuasion and Nazi propaganda. Very soon he took advantage of the Enabling Act of 1933 making laws without anyone else’s input. These supposed laws were supposed to be for emergency only but to Hitler anything he wanted was an emergency. He made things for the populous worse too by inciting martial law after the Reichstag was taken down. He eventually made it so anything would pass for the Nazi party and those who didn't agree were exterminated. With this ultimate power he rebuilt Germany for war immediately and made plans to unite all the German peoples, thought this was difficult to do under the Treaty of Versailles so he erased that too.The allies saw this as Germany recovering, they didn’t know what was coming and they weren’t prepared. HItler used the Enabling Act of 1933 to rearm and dissipate the Treaty of Versailles and expand freely even after the allies told him to slow down. When the war was in full swing Hitler decided to implement the Final Solution and exterminate the jews, no matter how terrible it was, he could enforce it with ruthless force. This made the Enabling Act of 1933 a very significant factor in the start of world war two. All of this could have been avoided if the
Much like the current United States hegemonic principles, the American involvement in World War 2 was thought to be overwhelming necessary but over time the actions during war have been brought into question. The United States decision making during World War II can be likened to a jig saw puzzle. Some of the pieces fit perfectly together while others could not be rationally connected. After arduous labor the puzzle comes together, yielding an ultimate image that can be beautiful to some and gruesome to others. Much like many armed conflicts, “The Great War” (World War I) did not resolve any of the conflicts in which it had created. Subsequently, the Treaty of Versailles punished Germany too harshly for its involvement in the war allowing the totalitarian dictator, Adolf Hitler, to come to power. Reviving the German economy partly through military production, Hitler gained the support of the people. The unjust invasion of Poland would be the inciting incident in the largest and most violent armed conflict in world history. Between 1939 and 1945, the democratic ideology of Allied countries combatted the Axis coalition of totalitarian character. In the early years of the war, the allied block consisted of the United Kingdom, France and Poland. But, with the continuation of the
Adolf Hitler, the leader of Nazi party and dictator of Germany, was a significant people in the history of World War 2. He has come to power in 1933 and used aggressive military policy to acquire Lebensraum (living space) for German in European area, leading to conflicts between Germany and other European countries. After World War 1 has finished, Germany has been accused of what it has done during the war and has signed the Treaty of Versailles in 1919. Before signing the treaty, there was a discussion about whether accepting or rejecting the treaty within the German government without acknowledging German people and most members in the government agreed to unconditioned acceptance of the treaty. ( Luckau 1919) After the treaty has been signed
After using events to declare martial law and turn Germany into a dictatorship Hitler started taking nearby countries under the guise of reuniting Germany and while it was condemned they did nothing to actually stop it but that changed when the Germans threatened Poland as Poland was a nation guaranteed under Versailles and taking that would be crossing a line that would lead war. Hitler thought that he didn't want to be at war with Russia, and so they agreed to split Poland and to not go to war but Germany didn't even think that Britain and France would be true to their promise he believed that they would merely yell and offer empty threats so when they declared war it took Hitler a little off guard. This led to the beginning of the second world war with Germany invading Poland and France and Britain coming to her aid. Germany had directly caused another world war with their desire to become bigger and get more room to expand and continued to ignore warnings about another world war in order to conquer their neighbors and
World War I was a major conflict fought in Europe and around the world between 1914 until 1918. In the end, the countries were striving to recover from World War 1 and were in need of a treaty to prevent any future war from occurring. The countries came to an agreement and decided to create the Treaty of Versailles. This treaty was made to end the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers, but Germany was not allowed to attend the Conference so they had no say in the terms that were discussed. The Allies punished Germany in the Treaty of Versailles because of 1) pressure put on the allied countries by civilians to discipline Germany and 2) the strong feeling that Germany should pay for all of the damage and destruction caused by the war considering they were a major cause of starting it. The terms of the Treaty of Versailles caused Germany to lose everything- territory, money due to reparations, alliances, military control, disarmament, and worst their pride; essentially Germany had to take full blame for the war. These terms were made to prevent Germany from exercising such aggression in the future. In reality, what ended up transpiring was that the Treaty gave Germany even more hatred to the point where they were looking for anything who could fix all of the ongoing problems they were facing- this setup Adolf Hitler’s rise up to power. Hitler’s rise to power was formed not only by the Treaty of Versailles, but also by his nazi propaganda, his fiery public speaking
