In early June of 1944, General Eisenhower and his fellow associates were discussing when their attack on the coasts of France were to take place to throw over Germany. This event was called D-Day. There were many weather complications during the last few days before the planned invasion . Eisenhower whose nickname was Ike was trying to find a way around this issue when reports came in of clear skies and a bright full moon which was perfect for the paratroopers that were to be dropped into battle from airplanes. After a few hours of discussion with his acquaintances they finally decided to charge into the coasts of France after these famous but simple words were uttered OK, Let’s Go. This is what lead our former President Dwight D. Eisenhower
