They have to face new experience and new challenges in their life when they come to abroad. The first year of their college abroad is a litmus test for them, if they have a positive experience they will stay but if they have negative experience they have to leave. I had observed the issues faced by the international students over here as they make their entry to new culture and a new educational system. They have to begin a new life in an environment that is very different. For example simple tasks such as going to grocery store where the language is different and the products are unfamiliar. The education system in India and Canada is different as in India, more focus is on memorization and there is no practical work but over here, more focus is on problem-solving skills and self-guided research. Majority of the students live without their family which is very hard for them to live without parents in abroad. Their parents sent them over here with a hope of their family

Rise in tuition is often seen as a school trying to gauge as much as money as they can from the students. A view most forgotten in this argument is that of the school. The school has to have money to feed the students and house the students plus teach them. Those three things are a necessity for the students. Schools would face lawsuit after lawsuit if they failed to feed the students. The school also has to pay its employees and hire new ones that leave.

There are numerous problems that they face as it differs from one student. Other than the obvious language barriers, they may experience culture shock as they may be coming from countries on the other side of the world. They may also experience homesickness, and financial problems. Nevertheless it’s possible to find solutions to these difficulties and to adjust to these following problems and enjoying a wonderful education experience abroad.
As an international student, it is critical to consider schools which are friendly towards persons who may not share the same culture as the major population of the student body. Having lived and thrived in a culture so different from my own for sometime, I have learned that for the most part, people are a lot welcoming to my culture when I do not try to hide from it but rather, offer my different perceptions and opinions about the questions I am being asked.
Here in America, a higher education can be extremely expensive, especially if one chooses to attend a private university. Today higher education is required for a majority of the well-paying jobs in America, but not everyone can afford to get a college education. College tuition is expensive and should be lowered.
Maureen Andrade article, “International students face academic and social transition issues in their first year of university” (P.135), so, students will face hard times at the beginning because they came from different countries which have different traditions and believes so, they will need time to adjust with the new environment depends on the student’s personality if he or she is extroverted or introverted. Accordingly, social adjustment issues present an obstacle for the international student; they face new life style, and sometimes the social support they get is less than what the domestic students get. Language proficiency can be the biggest obstacle for the international students, sometimes they feel shy speaking to native speakers because
According to “Business Insider”, in 2010, there are specifically fifteen different universities that have been compared to the cost of an American University. In Mexico, tuition costs, on average, $4,615. The sad part of this cost is that their universities are not even on the top one hundred list of best ranking, yet the tuition is much greater then what the average Hispanic makes in the fiscal year. A private intuition costs up to $11,777 every semester, which hardly anyone, even in America, can afford. Mexico is not considered a wealthy country, yet it’s as expensive as an American University. In Japan, the cost for a secondary education is $11, 865, which for this region of the world, it’s fairly easily affordable. With the University of Tokyo being the thirtieth highest ranking school in the world, this university has it all. Australia has one of the lowest costs for secondary education with the average of $7,692. Four of
The tuition fee of private universities is closely related to school running cost. The school running cost of private colleges refers to related costs of carrying out teaching activities under market conditions. It includes all expenses related to the activities of training students. They are the economic value of the educational resources consumed in the process of school running. The rising in school-running cost is the reason for the rise of tuition fee. In recent years, the school running cost of private colleges in China has been continuously improved. In this essay I will explain how international students can overcome tough challenges and situations.
