In a literal sense critical thinking involves using precious knowledge as well as personal opinions derived from said knowledge to create a solution to a present problem. The definition of critical thinking goes further than what you learned through primary school and onto a higher education, the analysis has many components and many derivatives through feelings, impressions, and personal judgements. The development of critical thinking begins with a problem, something that needs to be addressed in a resourceful manner. This issue may present itself in many forms and will have numerous outcomes, and the journey to that outcome is where the critical thinking process comes in. Personal opinions are deeply rooted in a person themselves based on their experiences, upbringing, and education. The original problem needing critical thinking may have to do with a difference in ethics such as a breaking news story, a family emergency, or a workplace discrepancy. A decision could be swayed based on a confusion of fact or opinion depending how strong you feel about something. Considering there are countless people that encounter each other every day whose ethical mindset may differ completely with each other it is important to understand that these difference can live harmoniously or quite dangerously. For example when a personal is in charge of large group of people and their ethical opinions interfere with decision making a follower may proceed in a critical thinking analysis of the now problem into a constructive solution. A problem can seem like an endpoint, something that turns into a hurdle that cannot be overcome, however when knowledge that has always been there is utilized, this problem becomes a learning experience.
