"And with great power the Apostles were giving their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all."
~ Acts 4:33
In just a few short weeks, Easter will be upon us and the miracle of the resurrection will be visible all around us. Spring is the season for rebirth, and renewal in all things. Christian churches in Boise, Idaho are gearing up for this wonderful time, here's how.
Sharing the Glory of the Resurrection
All of the churches near me are getting ready to share the story of the resurrection and Passion Church is no exception. All good Christians know that the resurrection is the foundation of our beliefs and as such, spreading the word, the story, the miracle of Jesus Christ's Resurrection is paramount
Jesus’ departure also created anxiety and questions amongst the apostles (Pentecost, 1981). Thus, in the narrative of John 13:36-14:31, Jesus lovingly admonishes the apostles with the command of “Let not your heart be troubled” (Wiersbe, 2007). As a consequence of this command, Jesus promised the apostles a place in heaven along with Christ’s return (John 14:3), assurance that Christ was the way to the Father (John 14:6), and a permanent, indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16; Acts 13:52) who would be the apostle’s teacher (Luke 12:12) in Jesus’ absence (Gromacki, 1978). Most profound is the fact that with Jesus’ ascension into heaven, the apostles would benefit in Jesus’ absence (John 14:9) with greater spiritual power (Pentecost, 1981). Additionally, Jesus also revealed the divine essence of the Godhead (John 14:9) while further defining the true essence of Christianity, “Ye in me, I in you” (Gromacki, 1978).
The world was gripped by the tale of forgiveness, Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross and his subsequent resurrection, as it was written and asserted. Through his first supernatural miracles and preaching, Christ had created a young religious congregation, but after his death Christ’s disciples and followers dedicated themselves to spreading the Word of God and the religion to the far corners of the world. Mass conversions took place with ordinary citizens in awe at the declared majesty of God, as well as the thought of a better life beyond the squalor of ancient
In 1993 Pastor John Kilpatrick initiated prayer for revival for the Brownsville Assembly of God in Pensacola, Florida. Since its establishment in 1939, the church has had a reputation for integrity, a church where holiness has been preached, prayer has been central, and it has a heart for the nations. The prayer initiative with Pastor Kilpatrick leading resulted in the beginning of the Pensacola Outpouring or the Brownsville Revival on Father’s Day 1995. Steve Hill, a missionary-evangelist, preached about revival and gave an invitation for prayer. To everyone’s amazement the Holy Spirit gave a powerful deposit of God’s presence. As the news about the revival spread, people flocked from around the world. The church leadership was surprised but
In1733 a revival began right there at Edwards’ church (Northampton). By the spring of the next year the revival reached huge heights. Within six months of the revival’s beginning, nearly three hundred people had come to the church to participate.

There are four main arguments used to deny the historical reality of the Resurrection. In this essay, I will explain why they are not supported by the facts of the matter
Even though Jesus had prepared his disciples through his teachings; his disciples were struggling on believing on what Jesus had promise. Due to their spirit was weak and not strong enough to sustained all the events. Jesus crucifixion was too much for them to bear and their faith was put to test. As Jesus warned them in several occasions to be prepared and pray for those hard times. When Jesus took him to pray in Gethsemane, In Matthew 26:36-44 is testimony of how many times Jesus warn them to pray to keep alert for those hard time. That is what Jesus was referring to.

Christ, is three people all at once. He is the father, the son and the holy spirit. He did three life changing things for us. He choose to save us so that we could all be together in harmony. He died for us so that we could mend the bond that was broken, and reconnect with God the Father. Finally he rose again do that we know he is always here, and that he will never leave no matter what he is there, and can’t go anywhere as long as we believe in and trust in him. For if none one believes in him or at least tell his story then the good thing that he did would be for nothing. It would all be in vain. In this paper I will share my utmost deepest thoughts of how Christ has changed my life for the better.
The second coming :Christ is now in heaven seated at the right hand of the farther as our exalted prophet, priest and king waiting for the time appointed by y the father to return to earth. Three Greek words –parousia (presence 1thess 3:13), apokalypsis (revelation, 2 thess 1:7-8), and epiphancia (appearance, 2:8)- are used of this event in the NT. This coming will be nothing less than the personal, visible, and glorious return of the same Jesus who ascended into heaven (matt 24:30, Acts 1:11, 3:19-21, Phil 3:20). It will be an event of which everyone on earth will be abruptly aware for it will mean the end of things as they are and the universal recognition of the true identity of Jesus of Nazareth (Note:The position adopted her
On the third day after Jesus Christ was crucified, Mary Magdalena and Mary went to the tomb where Jesus laid. As they arrived there was a great earthquake and an angel from heaven rolled the stone from the door to sit on it. Of course the two women were full of fear because these occurrences happened out of thin air. The two guards that Pilate had placed at the door were completely sacred and even became like dead men. The difference between all the witnesses was that the two women were believers and the guards were not. We can already imagine the reaction the guards had compared two Mary Magdalena and Mary. These two women were filled with joy after the angel told them Jesus was not there anymore for he had risen as he said.
It was the third day of Jesus’s cousin’s wedding. The event was held outside near the outskirts of Cana in Galilee. The Autumn air swept over the cloth canopy of the tent on the edge of the property and carried away the scent of wine. The disciples were there mingling with the guests. Tables lined the grass with stacks of finger foods and small champagne glasses. Mary, Jesus’s mother, was directing the waiters when she encountered the horrible news. To the serving staff’s great dismay, they found that all the wine had been used, and the party wasn't even close to over.
