Introduction:
Most Americans when they walk into a restaurant or fast food place will immediately notice the ambiance of the place. If the ambiance is not welcoming or new, a lot of people would choose to just go someplace else. The visual appeal of a restaurant or any food place is huge to our desire to eat at that certain place. Einstein’s Bagels has hundreds of locations across the U.S. and some of those locations are in need to a renovation. Renovations to some stores that are in need of a renovation would bring in a lot of business and even more returning customers.
Discussion:
The importance of renovations is huge, Customers would appreciate the effort and money taken to undergo a renovation. The stores would gain more customers and

Although we wont be dealing with a themed restaurant the same ideal can be applied to a run down and in need of renovation restaurant. In a customer’s head if they don’t like the ambiance of the place they may not have the same experience even though the quality of service would be the exact same. A customer’s mind and influence can fluctuate so much simply based on the ambiance. Without the customers even realizing it they may not have as pleasurable of a time with a non-renovation place versus a renovated place, this in turn hurts the restaurants amount of returning customers and even amount of tips a customer could …show more content…
With all the information I have provided and research that back my proposal I feel the obvious answer is to start undergoing renovations. Customers want a new and lively restaurant that promotes a better experience. With this project it will give customers a better feeling while eating at a restaurant and will give them an incentive to come back again and again. This project may take a few years and cost a good amount but every good company needs to take risks and this is a risk that is well worth is based on the information provided in my essay. I propose that in the years that follow the renovations of Einstein’s Bagels store that net worth and profits of the company will skyrocket and it will be a investment that will never be
The retail industry is redefining business formulas to maximize opportunities of interaction with consumers by developing service solutions to support value creation processes (Montagnini, 2009). Eataly represents an innovative, brand-new retail formula in the Italian food market, bridging retail and consumer education concepts to enhance guests value experience (Montagnini, 2009). Eataly’s business model is an attractive value proposition that has proven to be innovative and successful. This model is greatly executed by utilizing enormous spaces in high-traffic areas, which helps fulfil Eataly’s three tenants: eat, shop, and learn (Edwards, 2015).
It is ideal to have the option to purchase food right then and there, otherwise customers can just as easily bring their business to Carpe Diem, Satori Coffee House, Starbucks, or Beaners, all of which have moderate to high food selections (shown in Table 5). Todd should consider discontinuing the sale of retail items, and invest in a toaster oven and mini fridge in order to provide customers with more food options such as bagels, breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and fruit cups.
This paper will introduce a product and service which operates in the U.S. with the intent to expand within foreign markets eventually. The service that I chose is a current service in the food service industry that does exist but would benefit from enhancing it; there are market trends for the new service that would definitely satisfy potential customers’ needs and wants once the idea is brought to their attention. The goal is to bring the feel of the city’s fine dining and lounging experience to areas outside the city without having to travel far or spend more. The service is an
Typically, consumers go out to eat not only for good food, but we also expect good services, fresh ingredients, proximity, and an atmosphere to match. My client is The Varsity Club Tavern in Morgantown, WV. Usually just referred to as The Varsity Club, but the tavern part gives a little hint to the overall feel of the restaurant. As you may know, taverns are places that sell beer and other beverages and some of the time food. The Varsity Club offers an extensive beer selection and
Driving concept: to provide a premium specialty bakery and café experience to urban workers and suburban dwellers.
There is a Whole Foods supermarket next to my office in downtown Manhattan where I occasionally grab lunch. The place is popular dining place for those who work in the vicinity and extremely busy during lunch hours and late in the afternoon. Despite its popularity and flood of people, the time spent to check out in the store is small as compared to other stores in the surrounding.
Some of the key reasons for the dismal profits are primarily due to lack of control, and inexperience from both Julie and Mary, the co-owners and managers of Café Bijoux. The reasoning behind this claim is that a business that is not seen profitable is usually not. In addition, a real restaurant sign is not up and visible. A sign is a major gateway to success in a busy congested market which sees more than eleven businesses surrounding a one km radius. However, Julie and Mary have been awaiting the funds to put up a sign, which has seen negative results due to lack of
The website, Coffee Meets Bagel (CMB), launches in New York City, on April 17, 2012. The free downloadable application is available for iPhone and Android devices. To sign-up, one must use the downloadable mobile application, and must have an active Facebook account. Furthermore, the bagel derives from your friend list on Facebook, so allowing the company access to your Facebook account is absolutely mandatory. “These Bagels are friends of friends who also meet the member’s basic match preference criteria – gender, age, race, religion – which the members tell us when they first register with CMB. A mutual LIKE leads to a direct connection via a private phone line that the couple can use to communicate (Sweetser, 2015).” Moreover, members will receive a fresh bagel at noon each day, then decide to either keep or pass that particular bagel. Thus, select to keep a bagel and that bagel has 24 hours to keep or toss you. If the consent is mutual, a private chat becomes active for 7 days. After all, if the bagel decides to pass you, you may use coffee beans to give them another opportunity to check out your profile. In case one bagel is not enough, there are extra bagels to pick through, either to give away or keep. “With bonus bagels, these members will receive a few extra bagels a day. While members can still only LIKE
3.) Strong presence in high margin health services business. In addition to UnitedHealth Group’s leadership position in the health benefits market segment, UnitedHealth Group has strong information and technology based health services platform through its business segments which is Ingenix, OptumHealth and PrescriptionSolutions. The “CNN MONEY” (2012) website states Ingenix is one of the largest health information, technology and consulting companies in the world. The UnitedHealth Group derived $2.3 billion of revenues from Ingenix which contributed $284 million (excluding $200 million in goodwill impairment and business line deposition charges) of operating profit, and an operating margin of 12.1% during FY2010.
2. Continue being a nationally recognized brand name and dominate restaurant operator in the specialty bakery-café segment.
Starbucks has put heavy concentration on product innovation, new product launches and branding strategies and as a result, the company has lost sight of the customer’s wants and needs. Ultimately, Starbucks is not properly or correctly measuring customer satisfaction. They are basing these scores on characteristics affecting the product, and not precisely measuring the quality of their services. As Exhibit 10 from the case study shows, Starbucks’ customers ranked a clean and convenient store as the most important attributes of creating customer satisfaction. As marketing research is beginning to reveal, this should not be the only focus. Starbucks needs to shift their priorities and rank fast service, customer experience, and atmosphere as most important, as new studies suggest.
Great food, high-traffic location, and super decor -- all are important to the restaurant business. If you take a close look at what
In the premium foods and coffees industry, there are substitute products. According to Mary Coulter, the best way to evaluate this threat is to ask whether other industries can satisfy the customer need that this industry is satisfying (Coulter). Other beverage industries can satisfy the customer's need for a drink, and other food industries can satisfy the customer's need to eat. There are obviously good substitutes to Broadway products and the threat is high. This is why it is very important for Broadway Cafe, to innovate and differentiate. By providing free Wi-Fi in the Cafe and marketing signature food products from the famous old recipes of Grandfather, Broadway Cafe can create different image than its competitors.
The CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Howard Schultz pointed that the main reason from the decline of “Starbucks Experience” was that the number of Starbucks shops increased sharply from only 1,000 to 13,000 within ten years. Other people considered their brand has been commercialized, and the customers hadn’t had enough enthusiasms to appreciate every moment of their coffee any longer. He suggested that Starbucks should re-find its origin. Nevertheless, his advice apparently was opposite to the
As we walked into the restaurant, the first thing we noticed was the décor. At the center of the café there was a grand chandelier, a fountain, as well as trees inside the restaurant. We were seated next to the bar area, and there was plenty of couches and tables to sit at. The ambience felt wonderful. It felt like I was eating at a fancy restaurant in France. As we scrolled through the four levels the building has we realized that the restaurant was actually inside of the Restoration Hardware store. The furniture’s were extremely expensive, but most of the customers went to tour around the floor levels, especially the rooftop, which was a popular sight for taking pictures.
