Coffee is something that people around the world drink daily. Coffee affects people's daily life, many need it everyday to wake up. Coffee creates an addiction, something that can’t be stopped by any drink. Coffee is made differently around the world, some people drink coffee made in a french press some drink it made in a regular coffee maker. The tastes are very different when they are made in each machine as well as the length of time it takes to make the coffee, the cost, and the control you have over the taste. Coffee is smoother and bolder when made in the french press and lighter and has a kind of harsh taste when made in a coffee maker. Another way coffee can be made is with instant coffee, this has more of a water taste than a coffee taste.

When coffee is made in a coffee maker the coffee grinds don’t sit in the water for a longer period of time they run through them quickly so there must be more coffee grinds for the cup than in the french press, when coffee is made in a french press the coffee grinds sit in the water and brew for longer allowing the hot water to soak up all of the flavor possible. Yes the coffee maker is faster but it does not make as smooth or bold coffee as the french press does. A coffee maker needs electricity, it costs more in the first place, coffee grinds, and water. A french press needs the french press, coffee grinds, hot water. Coffee makers are very expensive and then they require electricity to run which using electricity costs money. A french press costs about $20 to $30, a coffee maker can range anywhere from $14 to $150 it is obvious that $14 is less than $20 but a coffee maker that is that cheap is not going to make high quality coffee like a french press that is just above that price
