Inequality In Education
Education for all is such an important statement, but in many countries it goes without value to one specific gender because they have a specific stereotype which they have to follow, and that shouldn’t stand. Everyone has the rights to learn and receive an education, and by receiving a better education it can also help our beautiful earth in many ways.
Global
Our world has mostly learn to accept equality in education, but in some places they still haven’t got the memo! A long time ago, there was a huge discrimination in religion (Muslim) between the gender cause it was thought that the girls job was to stay at home and take care of the kids and the home. So the men could go out and work so they could provide for

For example every single child should be enrolled in school for at least 16 years of their life cause for those 16 years ,they will have the basic knowledge’s on how to survive life and to not be forced into anything without them knowing they can actually fight for their own opinion and rights and this should be a universal law. Another solution is that organizations could volunteer qualified individuals to teach girls around the world and they could alternate so the volunteer wouldn’t be only helping one specific place they would be helping the world. Donation by money is also very important because by that way the money that was received could be used to build schools and give a better life for these kids.
Inequality in education is a very big problem because if you had to put yourself in that little girl’s shoe whose being forced into an arranged marriage and having babies at the age of 10 and being forced to be at home all the time without the slightest knowledge that you could fight for yourself . Education plays a very big role in everyone’s life and everyone should be given this opportunity and possible make a difference in this world because the smallest change could make a huge difference and that’s what our world needs right now,
Getting an education is considered a blessing too many, in America many of us believe that everybody should get equality when it comes down to education, but is that really the case? I believe that education is something that many of us take advantage of, especially when you are a kid and you think your education is free and you dread waking up early in the morning for school. Though, when you grow older we are glad that we have received an education and we can contribute to new technology, or we have the opportunity to create a top selling novel, learn about the history of the world, or just knowing why the sky is blue. We all know, and if you don’t you
The educational system has been around for thousands of years, and throughout time, there have always existed equality issues. From girls not being able to attend school as far as the boys, to children being separated into different schools because of the color of their skin, equality in education is an issue that has plagued humanity for far too long. Throughout the years, there have been some important decisions made in an effort to afford equality in education. Perhaps, as we move forward in our thinking and beliefs, we may find a way to make education a right that everyone who has the desire to grow through knowledge should be afforded, regardless of circumstance.
In America, girls and boys across the country have the privilege to be enrolled in an educational system. For thirhteen years, students are taught by college educated teachers and learn material to help us move forward in our carrier. Americans take this opportunity without even thinking about it, but do not realize how much students take this for granted. In the school I have been placed in, my teacher took it upon herself to show us education in different cultures, and the outcome of the lesson was shocking for me. In the book A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, readers realize how much women are looked down upon in Afghanistan, yet it was eye opening for me to see what these girls are missing out on. From birth, they are categorized are lesser than men. Never getting the same chances, their life is centered around pleasing their husband. Education is not even an option for most women. I believe all women should have the same opportunity in this world, despite what country they reside in.
Although equality is an integral part the Constitution, it is not readily upheld. Specifically, education is a fundamental right which is far too often neglected, and therefore, a leading cause of poverty and inequality in the world today. The ACLU says, “The Constitution requires that all kids be given equal educational opportunity no matter what their race, ethnic background, religion, or sex, or whether they are rich or poor, citizen or noncitizen” (“Your Right). Without an education, one can not be expected to succeed. However, the positions that people are born into are hard to escape. These may include race, gender, and economic status. Because of this difficulty, many people get stuck in poverty and never become
Each individual should have equal access to education no matter what their background is. Either because of their race and ethnicity, poverty and gender.
Educational inequality is the difference in the learning results, or efficacy, experienced by students coming from different groups. Access and opportunity for education was not a right equally given to all people in our country. From the beginning of our nation access to public education was reserved for whites only and was forbidden for enslaved and free blacks. After Emancipation, when some public and private schooling was made available to African Americans, black children were segregated into under-resourced schools. Due to circumstances that kept most African American families in abject poverty, the masses of black children encountered structural barriers that prevented them from gaining a complete formal education.
7.28 Billion people live in the world. An average of 30 Million people don't have an education. You begin to wonder, is this our system failing or is it us ? Many people don't even get the opportunity to attend school nevertheless get to finish it. According to the recent launch of First Lady, Michelle Obama ‘Let Girls Learn’ program, she uncovered the various reasons on why many students don't get an education; In this case it was based more upon girls but the same idea is with the boys. Mrs.Obama and her team exposed that most students get discriminated on going to school off the child like factors such as their gender, race, financial status and their religion. Education is a powerful tool and an asset in today’s fast moving society. Boys
“Education promotes equality and lifts people out of poverty. It teaches children how to become good citizens. Education is not just for a privileged few, it is for everyone. It is a fundamental human right.” - Ban Ki-moon
Brigham Young said “ you educate man; you educate man. You educate women; you educate a generation.” In order to teach the man to do the work the women have to be educated enough to teach the children. People in these other countries such as Pakistan or Afghanistan need women to be taught and be allowed to go to school because if they don’t then the man would not be able to accomplish the tasks that need to be completed. It is important to ask the questions to yourself who is violating this right? Where is this right being violated? To what extent is it being violated? Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human rights, the right to and education, needs to be protected by the government to ensure that girls ages 6-14 can have a valid education that will help in the protection of the girl's life.
Western countries like us North Americans take education for granted and we don’t realize how fortunate we are. We complain about attending classes and completing our homework, while there are many girls fighting for our privilege. Are you aware that there are still many countries where girls don’t have access to education? `Education is an essential human right that developing countries such as India, Pakistan,Afghanistan were intended to have access to already! This resembles as one breathes, eats, and drinks. I fully agree with the UNESCO research, which demonstrates that education transforms lives. Unfortunately, this transformation seems to be unacceptable for many in developing countries. They desire women to be dependent, enslaved, and
Education is important for so many other reasons and because we live in America we as women have the right to and education. This gives us opportunities that we didn’t get a long time ago, and gives people from other countries like third world countries give women a chance to be workers and not just house wives. We can use our accomplishments to get a good job a nice house, and prove men the women can do it as well. I am given a chance to work and support my family and that’s all I want.
Despite all progress that the world has made, inequality is still inherent between men and women. This inequality starts at a young age when parents send their children to school. In some countries, boys and girls alike go off to school; however, in other countries, girls stay behind and are unable to attend due to other obligations or societal norms. Many benefits come from educating girls which include having healthier children, earning more money that they invest back into their families and communities, and playing a more active role in their communities and countries.17 Educating girls will help communities and future generations since those girls will become women and have families of their own. Despite the movement for the right to women
Women having the same education experience is a subject that continues to impact how women are viewed in society. In many countries women are unable to pursue their career goals and opportunities because it is illegal or against social norms to seek an education. It is still culturally acceptable in many countries for women to not pursue their education because they are worth less to their society than men, losing some of their basic human rights.
takes a step back in the progression of equality. Education is essential in spreading the
Equality seems to be now a thing in society as people believe and that females do not need to strive for a feminist movement, however as a female myself I still believe that we have not achieved equality and an example of that would be the education system. I’m going to connect it to two of the macro-sociology perspective. Macro-sociology perspective is a sociology study that focuses on the human society on a wide scale. One of the macro sociology perspective, I’m going to talk about the educational system for the females all around the world., not all countries practice equal education such as Bolivia, Armenia, Pakistan and Tanzania. In Bolivia thirteen percent of adult women cannot read and write, compared to just 5% of men, but there
