The service I will be basing my controlled assessment on is Carters Green medical centre within the Health Sector.
Carters Green medical centre is located in West Bromwich; the address of the medical centre is B709th, 396, 400 high street in the town centre.
In Carters Green medical centre, they currently have 5 doctors (that are GP’s), 22 nurses and 1 healthcare assistant. They have a reception team that will answer calls and provide much more, they have 1 operation manager and 1 outlet supervisor, Carters Green medical centre also provide services such as alcohol services and clinics such as asthma clinics. Primary Research is where you get information by yourself, like getting information from my client, like a person (like a parent, GP Health Professional or Carters Green Medical Centre’s practise manager) is interviewing my client they’ll information from my client’s face to face, which is primary information.
Secondary Research is research about information from someone, (like my client), that already exists or produced. I will probably use textbooks and the Internet, for Secondary Research.
Both types of research are called sources of information or data.
Plan of work to include aims and objectives for Task 1:
- I will decide the primary research you’ll carry out.
- I will decide the secondary research you’ll carry out.
- I will identify the investigation of the service; secondary research will be used to identify the service by using the Internet, which is the Carters Green Medical
Secondary research is done to research the data collection through the study of information which has already being researched from the hospital websites, articles, discharge and intake records or through primary research.
Primary data is when you collect and gather the data first hand in the form of a questionnaire, survey, telephone or interview. This data is specific to the company and did not exist beforehand. Sometimes referred to as field research.
Primary data is data which your business or you find and gather data to analyse. By you or the business finding the data this makes it primary because the data belongs to you making it original. The different ways to gather data is surveys and interviews by collecting data like this makes it original and reliable.
Patient has no problems on how the hospital operates their services. Patient only received service at GRH and love the way GRH provide services to his illness.
Secondary information is data which is derived from primary information and can be found via books, newspapers, internet etc. Secondary information is less reliable than Primary information because you cannot be certain as to how precise it is.
The clinic will utilize numerous resources to maximize the care for each patient. The company will be located in Plains, Georgia, on Hwy 308. The building was donated by a local church in the community, and has undergone remodeling to ensure the goals and function of the clinic is met. The clinic will utilize a secure billing network, and to comply with HIPPA laws, the clinic will utilize an electronic medical record system to ensure confidentiality of all patients is secure. This is existing research that has been gathered previously either by the firm itself or by other organisations. This type of research is collected quicker and cheaper as it has been already archived. Secondary data is normally found in internal and external sources.
I am most familiar with the Urgent Medical Center. In my opinion, it is very well-structured place with a diverse staffing. It was always a pleasant environment when I had to visit the center for an illness. The center has at least two physicians and nurses on-site at all time. Also, there are several medical assistants to help provide quality of care as patient wait to be seen by a physician. This organization promotes health and wellness services to all patients. Theirs mission is to provide an affordable, quality healthcare with respect and compassion to all patients. Due to the fact that the hospital helps run local outpatient offices, their involvement and input during the project can really make a difference in the way that patient care is delivered and help maximize the success of implementing the project into the outpatient

The literature review is a review of the literature is being used that is relevant to the research topic. Primary sources are original documents which come directly from the source of an individual perspective or observation (Research Guides). These sources are usually interviews, photos, diaries, and research studies conducted directly by the researcher. Secondary sources on the other hand are more of an interpretation of the original research by someone who did not have a direct involvement in the original research (Research Guides). Secondary sources are journal articles, books, bibliographies, textbooks and website articles.
It is a 200-bed hospital and has a total staff strength close to 1000. There are 3 main broad departments namely Administration, Clinical Services and Finance.
