Statistics Assignment
Part 1
a)
We have obtained the data from both hotel and water park on the basis of number of visitors categorised according to their age groups during peak season. The data has been graphically presented below to compare and see if water park is a suitable excursion place for holiday makers to stay at the hotel.
Data From Hotel | Type of Guest | % of visitors during peak season | Singles under 25 | 17 | Singles over 25 | 9 | Couples under 25 | 3 | Couples over 25 | 20 | Family groups | 51 |

In every each band of € 10 increase there is significant drop in number of visitors. This pattern of histogram is positively skewed.
b) Determine by using a spreadsheet model and drawing an ogive, a variety of averages and measures of dispersion.
The calculations was made as shown below using MS Excel. All the calculations are done using excel and excel workbook is also attached at end.

A corporate business enterprise is established under a specific legal framework where laws governing the operations and functioning of the enterprise are outlined. The activities of the enterprise are monitored and therefore such an enterprise is recognized by law. This is important due to the fact that legal suits can be filed by the enterprise within the provisions of the law.
For problems requiring computations, please ensure that your Excel file includes the associated cell computations and/or statistics output; this information is needed in order to receive full credit on these
Complete the calculations below using this data. Show all of your work and clearly label each of your calculations.
1. Describe a real or made up but realistic situation that could cause you or someone you know to have to use money from a financial reserve. (3-6 sentences. 2.0 points)
Accounts receivable (net) increased by $500,000 during the year. This increase has what effect on cash flow?
b. Using the Newsvendor Formula in Excel, or Q* = Norminv(Cu/(Cu+Co), Mean, Std Dev) and the values:
With the 95% Confidence Interval for Mean, Median, and St Dev are as described above.
All the solutions for the problems that require calculations are on the attached excel sheet. When entering your answers, please check the requirements in the question, some of them ask you to round to 2 or 3 decimal place, some ask you to omit the dollar sign..etc

An economy is the wealth and resources of a country or a region. Economy mainly refers to the consumption of goods and services in a specific country or region. The United States of America is known across the entire world as having the largest economy. The economy in the United States today is now where near what it was many years ago. The current economic situation has the country trying to regain its high economic status. The United States economy is really not good in its current state, but somewhat better than it was five years ago. Many people are not aware of the problem that we have in this country. I think that
For this analysis I have selected the variables “APPOINTMENTS”, “OUTBOUND” and “MINUTES” as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd individual variables respectively. Also the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pairs of variables I have selected for this analysis are respectively “APPOINTMENTS and OUTBOUND”, “APPOINTMENTS and MINUTES” and “MINUTES and OUTBOUND”. PART A: Exploratory Data Analysis 1. Graphical and numerical summaries for 1st individual variable, i.e. APPOINTMENTS. Descriptive Statistics: APPOINTMENTS Variable N Mean StDev Minimum Median Maximum Skewness Kurtosis APPOINTMENTS 100 28.780 4.378 19.000 29.000 39.000 0.04 -0.16 The shape of the histogram for the variable “APPOINTMENTS” depicts that the distribution of that variable is approximately normal with (M = 28.78, SD = 4.378). The median (29.00) which is almost coincides with the mean (28.78) and the coefficient of skewness (.04) is almost same as ‘0’, also confirms that the distribution is symmetric. The coefficient of kurtosis (–.16), close to ‘0’ specifies that the distribution of “APPOINTMENTS” is approximately normal. 2. Graphical and numerical summaries for 2nd individual variable, i.e. OUTBOUND. Descriptive Statistics: OUTBOUND Variable N Mean StDev Minimum Median Maximum Skewness Kurtosis OUTBOUND 100 96.63 18.33 61.00 95.50 138.00 0.04 -0.67 The shape of the histogram for the variable “OUTBOUND” depicts that the distribution of that variable is approximately normal with (M = 96.63, SD = 18.33). The median (95.50) which is almost
Further examination of the data through the histogram as shown below showing that 69 out of the 200 bookings studied, that is 34.5% of the data is made out of 4 people groups. Moreover, a total of 33.5% (67 bookings) of the bookings are made for 2 people which gave an indication that the resort is also popular with couples. In comparing the data set with the age distribution of the customer base, it can be argued that the CCResort mainly attracts families with children as well as couples with no children
1. An international bank loaned money to an emerging country a few years ago. Because of the nonpayment of interest due on this loan, the bank is now negotiating with the borrower to exchange the loan for Brady bonds.
