As a student of audio production, I plan to further my education to reach my goal of being an audio engineer or a music producer. As one of the leading fine arts colleges on Long Island, Five Towns College is one of the few schools that focus mainly on one’s major instead of the general education or liberal arts. As well as being one of Billboard magazines’ top 35 music business programs in the US. This makes Five Towns College the leading school for my continuation of education in the field of business management and audio recording technology.
The main reason for my want to attend Five Towns is the numerous positive experiences your alumni have had, especially those who took the audio technology concentration. My high school BOCES’ teacher is one of these people and he has also inspired me to reach my goal. He recommended I finish my education at your college. This teacher instructs the audio production class I am enrolled in. With the knowledge I learned in BOCES and the knowledge I plan to gain from your school, I will succeed in learning more about the industry, business, and talent behind audio and music. I will use this knowledge in order to one day open my own recording studio where I will mainly work with live sound, bands, or solo artists as well as a multitude of other projects ranging from music to

I value knowledge, determination and individuality the most. Knowledge brings one closer to the answers they might have in life as well as guide them through tough or significant periods in their life. It helps with choices and gives an understanding to one about those around them or society in general. Determination is key to achieving a goal or succeeding in a desired career path as well as individuality. Setting oneself apart from the rest, allows people to stand out and be known as themselves not as part of a group or class. These qualities identify and help motivate a
Perseverance. I believe that a strong core value for not only for me but also for my family is perseverance. I first experienced perseverance when I was in first grade. I come from a hispanic family meaning that spanish is our primary language. Neither of my parents knew any english and in first grade I started to get homework, which was entirely in english. I personally was not good at english either, so both my parents and I did not know how to speak the language. Consequently, I was not doing well in school as I would not get my work done and I would have a hard time understanding. When my dad saw that I was struggling he decided to learn english so that he could help me.
To many high school students, college seems like a far away land, a mysterious place where everyone wants to be yet not many know how to get there. As children, our parents tell us how much time we have to think about college, and that it is too far down the line to think about. The truth is it is never too early to think about your future. I, like many people, put little thought into my future career and now am lost in an unfortunate mix of indecision and anxiety. Not knowing where you want to be in the future is a hard burden to bear. Many of us tend to find out that we only know what we do not want, not what we actually do want. Do we want to be poor? Absolutely not. Do we want a boring job? Of course we don’t. We all want our
• Of the four values, which one do you believe you have the most to grow in and why?
The thing I value most in my life is my independence. I love being able to not have to depend on others to make my way through life. As the first born child, I have had to deal with my parents helicopter parenting me, trying to do everything for me. As I got older I had realized that I did not like my parents doing everything for me, it made me feel powerless to be able

Full of enthusiasm and optimism, I entered my freshman year at Ithaca College at the
Hagerstown Community College (HCC) is a public, not for profit, two-year college located in Washington County Maryland. HCC is one of the first colleges in Maryland that started by offering mostly evening classes. The campus serves more than 6,000 credit students, 9,000 non-credit students, and 800 high school students.
The 10 most important values that guide my life in general are: Accountability, Adaptability, Ambition, Commitment, Continuous learning, Excellence, Fairness, Friendships, Integrity and Personal growth.
The programs offered here, specifically the musical groups (whether student-run or school-run) bring students and faculty together. There are a number of faculty ensembles, student ensembles, and even mixed ensembles, both instrumental and choral, that strengthen the community of the school. The interest of the students is in the school’s best interests; there are jazz bands, classical bands, orchestras, choral groups, acapella groups, and even theatre. These ensembles are a great way to make friends, pursue your dreams and give something more to a college education here at the University of
The Grand Rapids Community College Geography program is a rigorous program that educates students on the world around them. At first glance, I assumed that majoring in Geography would be a waste of time and money, however it is quite the contrary. GRCC is the home of one of the best Geography Programs found at a United States community college. Each semester almost every available seat in the Geography program is filled by students who are excited to learn. GRCC offers in person, online, and hybrid classes to accommodate every student’s needs. After students complete their associate's degree, they are able to transfer their credits to colleges and universities all over Michigan where they can complete their bachelor's degree.
Values are intangible things that are important to us, and that guide us, individually, to make decisions. Each person has a different set of values, morals, and ethics, which is the reason that each person handles a situation differently. Here, I will discuss my top 5 values, and why they are important to me.
At the Westphal College of Media Arts & Design, you can earn a general B.S. in Music Industry degree but specialize in music technology and production. Since the program focuses on the industry and not performance, students do not have to audition. Music composition and audio production technique courses are balanced with the business and legal sides of the industry. You have access to six recording studios and two audio labs as well as a student-run concert production company and award-winning record label. Every student completes two summer co-ops with music-focused organizations. You can opt to attend school for a fifth year to complete your master's degree.
I’ve aspired to be a professional musician for over ten years now. From the beginning, I knew that I wanted to study music on a university level as part of my journey. When the time came, I only auditioned for one school. It was the only school that I wanted to attend. I was accepted with a scholarship for music composition, and master’s degree track for music education.
My open mindedness matters to me most. My experiences as a cross-cultural teen instilled this value in me.
