Frida Kahlo was an astonishing Mexican artist, who mainly painted self-portraits after the fact she had a bus accident. When the bus accident happened Frida Kahlo was stabbed by a steel handrail, which went all the way through her hip, which was a serious fracture and left her in the hospital for several weeks in the hospital to recover. The only good outcome out of this was that during her recovery time she used her time painting so her talent came out to the world. She was married to another great Mexican artist, Diego Rivera who was consider a muralist at the time. He was also a great influence when she started painting. One of her paintings, The Two Frida’s, shows us two Kahlo’s and how one person can feel and look like two totally different people after an emotional experience, in this case the divorcement of Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo.

The heart's have the meaning of living. The unibrow has the meaning that she is still the same person even if she changed some things on her face in the first Kahlo than the second Kahlo, it is just her signature in general, it is part of what separated her from other people. The dresses may symbolize that they have two different personalities, thoughts, beliefs, etc. Also the colors of the dresses she chooses may have a meaning between the different countries and traditions. The colors she chooses for the background may represent the storm she held inside of her as stated before. Lastly the holding hands part means they are one till the end. The diagonal line is right in between the Kahols which can represent the split of having two different people and how each Frida felt with Diego Rivera, how such a man can be an influence towards her thinking, dressing, her way of being in
