After the unexpected death of Hamlet's father, Hamlet started seeing his late fathers ghost. The ghost of his father came to Hamlet and told him who the killer was. The killer was in fact Hamlets uncle, and the new king. Hamlets mother married her late husbands brother, so he could take his place on the thrown. This wasn't a good thing... After seeing his fathers ghost Hamlet went to tell the others about what he saw and they said that he was crazy, and that he was still mourning his fathers death. His fathers ghost told him to kill his uncle to get even with this horrible man, so Hamlet decided to give it a try. He kept on working up the courage to do it, but when he thought he was ready, he really wasn't.

While at the fight his girlfriends brother put poison on his sword that would kill Hamlet if he got cut, meanwhile his uncle put poison in the glass that the winner of the first round was to drink out of. That's right, you guessed it, Hamlet was the winner, but don't worry, he refused to drink it, and continued fighting. Hamlet won the second round, but once again refused the drink, so his mother decided to drink it. In the second round his mother started feeling ill and then realized that the king had poisoned the drink and she was dying.During the third round Hamlet got struck with the sword that had poison on it,but he kept on fighting until his mother collapsed and he too realized that she had been poisoned. He went and grabbed the sword that had the poison on it, and gave his opponent a taste of his own medicine. He then went and killed the king, and it was a major blood bath. The

The key points in the plot of Hamlet are the meeting with the ghost, proving Claudius' guilt, and the ironic and untimely deaths of different characters. From the beginning of his and his mother’s conversation Hamlet was very angry and on edge with her for being with his father’s murderer. Hamlet somehow knew someone was eavesdropping on their conversation as he had been spied on previously. He suddenly decides to act out of fury thinking how angry he was at Claudius and kills who’s behind the curtain, thinking it was Claudius. Hamlet realizes after that he killed the wrong man, it had been Polonius that he killed but he didn’t care much saying that Polonius was a fool. Hamlet sees the ghost again after and the ghost tells Hamlet he still must carry out his revenge for his father because he had failed .

When Hamlets, fathers ghost comes to visit him, it tells Hamlet to get revenge on its death and to kill Claudius. While the ghost disappears Hamlet recounts what he has just done and states, “So, Uncle, there you are. Now to my word:/It is ‘Adieu, adieu, remember me!’ / I have sworn’t” (I.v.110-112). Hamlet is not even certain that the ghost is his father at first, yet he still aims to kill the king. His anger over his father’s death leads Hamlet to not think clearly, causing him to act out which in the end, leads to his death.
Prince Hamlet was terribly depressed. After being called to Denmark for his father’s funeral, he was shocked to find out that his recently widowed mother, Gertrude, had remarried his uncle, Claudius. Claudius has had himself crowned King although Hamlet was his father's heir to the throne. Hamlet is an interesting character who is mourning the recent death of his father, as well as the recent marriage of his mother to his uncle. So, in his grieving mind, when Hamlet hears news that some guards have seen the ghost of his father, he curiously investigates with them. To his dismay, the news is true, and Hamlet confronts his fathers ghost, who claims he was murdered by his own brother and asks Hamlet to avenge his murder. After calming down, Hamlet reasonably thinks that the ghost could be an evil spirit, so he sets up a test to prevent himself from blindly killing an innocent man. He sets up a play that mimics the murder of a powerful monarch in a way similar to the details of his father's death. Upon viewing the play, the king stands up and yells to stop the play and leaves quickly. Hamlet accomplishes his goal of finding out the truth without raising flags about him knowing the truth. Unfortunately Claudius suspects him after some questionable events and Claudius orders a try on his life. Claudius sends Hamlet to England with orders in a letter for the King to execute him stating “The present death of Hamlet. Do it England; For like the hectic in my blood he rages, And thou must cure me.” (4,3,69-71). Hamlet did not try and kill him again until the end of the play. At the end of the play Hamlet is sword fighting with someone that Claudius has made a plan with to kill Hamlet. The plan was that the guy would use a sharp poisoned sword so is Hamlet got cut he would be poisoned and die. The back-up plan in case Hamlet wins is that Claudius will offer Hamlet poisoned wine in celebration. However his mother drinks it.
