As we walked by the scary house, we walked by with fear. We heard the stories about the ghost roaming around there. We saw the scary looking pumpkins. It was Halloween, and this is what we saw, a scary clown chasing us down the scary and dark road. Halloween with all of its spooky houses, ghosts, can be an apprehensive holiday.

Until the 1960's, the majority of the children used to wear Halloween outfits made by their moms. This was principally in light of the fact that the dresses that children wore in those days were for the most part straightforward outfits and plastic or paper veils that made a child show up like apparition, witch, sovereign, princess or pixie. Kids Halloween outfits have progressed beyond anyone's expectations from that point forward. They are accessible in entire loads of assortments today from conventional Halloween ensembles to some awe inspiring outfits focused around different subjects and characters. The kids' outfits can be purchased today focused around their most loved toon character, mainstream superhero and the scariest of the outsiders, and so forth.

Halloween is based off of pagan beliefs. It used to be called Samhain, which is a Gaelic word meaning “summer’s end.” Halloween did not become popular in America until the 1900’s. There are the same traditions that carry on today since the 1900’s, but are different in many ways. Jack-o-lanterns, trick or treating, and Halloween symbols have changed over the years to become more modernized traditions.

It was on Halloween the day every one goes trick-or-treating. My mom asked me “Don’t you want to go trick-or- treating,” and I said “no way leave trick-or-treating to the little kids”. Then someone told my mom about a haunted house in Event Park then she told me about it and asked if I wanted to go of course I said yes. So we went to Event Park where it did not look that scary on the outside put when we got it was scary.

When you hear the word Halloween you often think about candy, costumes, and children having fun; but how much do we know about the holiday itself? Maybe everybody should know what the origin of Halloween has. The first paragraph deals with how this celebration started. The “trick or treat” part. Why is this the most important part of the of this celebration. How will this contribute to the pagan Halloween origins? Why is this part of the Halloween celebration? Could this be also part for the economy? Costumes! Halloweens is also known for its dark color for clothing and part for scaring away people. Just how much do we know about them? This celebration we should no longer be considered a holiday.

Three weeks after our arrival in California, a group of children knocked at our front door at twilight, dressed in strange costumes. When Aunt Lis opened the door, they chimed “Trick or treat!”and she gave them each a handful of candy. Just as the group cheered in appreciation while they left our house, another group of kids showed up for a repeat of the same.

The best Halloween I ever had was at my cousin Dexter’s house in Utah. I had an amazing time hanging out with him and his friend Dawson. We played night games and joked around with each other and had a good time. We even had a lot of fun playing basketball with each other. I knew it would be the best Halloween ever.
