Once when I was a kid it was an ordinary Halloween as night rose my parents went to sleep after I got lots of candy and came home. People kept knocking on the door but we weren't passing out any candy this year but there was only one person who was constantly coming back he was wearing a hockey mask with blood all over it, i couldn't tell if it was real or fake it was pretty convincing either way. I Kept telling him politely we had nothing to give I was really shy I said it bluntly without making eye contact I didn't want him to mistake it for rudeness. It was getting late anyway so I dove in my bed to drift to sleep my eyelids were heavy as I started to fall asleep I heard glass smashing in my own room that creepy hockey mask guy came through
It was a dark and cold halloween night me and my friend Toony were trick or treating and these kids that were bullies at our local school were following us calling our names saying means things. So we ran and ran as fast as we could they didn’t catch up because they weren’t in the best of shape but we were. So once they were no longer in sight me and Toony started to walk we didn't see them for the rest of the night that we knew of but once we were about two miles away from my house. We heard a noise the bullies came storming out of the woods almost scared me half to death so we ran and ran they started getting closer which was a surprise so we just ran into this abandoned house where we hid out for the night. After about 3 hours they had
Finally…. Halloween was here. I have waited all year for this day. My all time favorite holiday. School was finally over and I slipped on my costume and jetted out the door. I was ready for the spooky scares, chilly air, and crazy dares that happen on halloween night. My friend Kayla and I walked to each door chanting “trick or treat”, but one house appeared to be kind of peculiar. The house was big, white, and the tiles were falling off. Nobody dared to step on the property of the house.
As a child I wanted every holiday to be like Halloween so I could collect massive amounts of sweet candy. All of the children in the neighborhood would walk house to house in a large group to prevent being kidnapped. After trick-or-treating, my friends and I would trade with each other until we each had all of our favorite candy. But as I grow older I tend to see how much the holiday has changed through the amount of candy, parties, and costumes.

In Rob Zombie’s interpretation of John Carpenter’s 1978 Halloween, evil is manifested in a ten year old boy named Michael Myers. Zombie showcases for the first time on film, what the child went through that lead to the destruction of his innocents. The Halloween movie series is one of the most well-known horror movies of all time and one of my favorite slasher-flim. Michael Myers is who everyone fears the most, because no matter what you do to him, he would ever die. He never hid the hate and the evil that was inside him, he just embraced it. Somehow and someone has created this boogeyman that everyone fears, but the story was never told. It wasn’t until Zombie started filming Halloween that this could be answered. Sociologically concepts
Many hundreds of years ago, European Celts believed that souls of the dead visited Earth on the last day of October. This belief spread to the Romans, and eventually to the region of the United States. Halloween was originally called Allhallowe’en, or the evening before All Hallows Day, a Catholic holiday that celebrated Saints. This name was eventually shortened to what we call it now, Halloween. The reasoning for some of the traditions we do on Halloween, like carving pumpkins came from a man named Jack. Jack’s behavior was too poor to get into heaven, or even hell, so he was deemed to walk the Earth with a lantern until judgement day. The Irish carved turnips to remind them to not behave as Jack did, but, since pumpkins were easier
Depending on how a person defines zombies, the Bible has a lot to say about the topic, according to Arizona-based pastor Mark Driscoll of Trinity Church in a Halloween-themed video series.
Halloween is a favorite holiday to celebrate by many of all different ages. Halloween gives children a chance to dress up as whoever they desire to be, while receiving some of their favorite treats. Even as adults, they like to carry the tradition of dressing up for Halloween. Since trick-or-treating is not an appropriate thing to do as an adult, during this time of the year, many Halloween parties are held. However, at these parties, the costumes are not typically like the ones they wore as children. There are three types of costumes that one can see at a Halloween party: The Spooky, the Slutty, and the Matching.
Other people’s decisions and thoughts used to have an immense part of my choices and decisions for myself. Dr. Seuss tells us that we should not try to fit in because we were born to stand out. However, I only figured out that this was true as I was sick laying in bed. Never, will I do anything exactly like anybody again.

You probably think that Halloween was made in America to get kids to walk around to get ‘free’ candy. Well if you think that, you would be wrong. If you know where Halloween got its name, good, but that’s not all you need to impress your history teacher.
