Public education campaigns urge consumers to comply with behavioral recommendations such as exercise and loss of weight as well as treatment regimens such as taking your medications; that may help to prevent or control diseases and their consequences. Health care utilization also has evolved as the population’s need for care has changed over time. Some factors that influence need include aging, population shifts, and changes in the prevalence and incidence of different diseases. As the prevalence of chronic conditions increases, for example, residential and community-based health-related services have emerged that are designed to minimize loss of function and to keep people out of institutional settings. My View of the Health Care Industry I think that the biggest change in the health care industry will be that everything will be electronic, from the medical records to the how patients are taken care of and there will be no need for Nurses or Medical Techs to help the doctors with medical care. With this change occurring there will also be less medical buildings needed as well as being built because the physicians will not have go into the offices unless patient care is needed. I also feel that by having everything electronic not only will this affect the nursing staff but some physicians’ may be cut as well because there will be nowhere for them to
The healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing industries. Changes are always happening in the healthcare field and new trends are created. As a worker in the healthcare industry, there are many changing aspects of the industry. At my company, I’ve noticed some of the trends that are shaping the direction of the company in a very dynamic and valuable way. Working remotely, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and Big Data and Cloud Computing are some of the trends that my company is moving towards. While these trends are making an impact on the company, there are still challenges with the Affordable Care Act. It has been reshaping the healthcare system both positively and negatively since it was introduce.
Changes to the health care system throughout the United States will greatly influence health care utilization. Trends in health care utilization can be used to project future health care needs, predict expenditures, or for training personnel in new medical procedures and policies (Berstein, Hing, Moss, Allen, Siller & Tiggle, 2003). For example, the increase in ambulatory surgery was changed by improvements in anesthesia and improved techniques in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Berstein, Hing, Moss, Allen, Siller & Tiggle, 2003). Advanced medical procedures that used to require a few weeks of bed rest now only need a few days in the hospital. Shorter hospital stay makes the patient happier and it

With the vast adjustment in health care which came into Law on March 23, 2012,
Dickerson and Mike Abbott were leading the dream team. After their first break-through with the caching, Dickerson and the rest of the team gave Zients and Park their verdict that they would fix the site by the end of November. As per their plan, there would be Stand-ups meetings where everyone usually stands rather than sits and works through a problem or set of problems, fast. Then everyone disperses acts and reports back at the end of the day at a second stand-up. Each typically ran about 45 minutes. An open phone line would connect people working on the website at other locations, the open line would remain live 24 hours a day so that everyone could immediately talk to the others if an issue suddenly came up. The stand up culture – identify problem, solve problem, and try
One reason for example, with the current election of a new President, can affect the current health care model currently known as the “Obama Care”. The new incoming administration could either keep the current model and or have a research done and find a different model altogether. Now, however, there are still variables that could be discussed and trends from previous years that could be used to provide a new insight of what could be expected from the healthcare industry soon. Recommendations for a successful adaptation to the new direction of healthcare will be presented at the end of this analysis of the five challenges presented.
As healthcare continues to evolve, as technology becomes more advanced and as human beings live longer, yet sicker, there is the
The health care system in the United States needs to be more reliable and easily accessible to those that need it. Increased coverage, affordable care for those with life-long disabilities and illness, and protections for those with pre-existing conditions is especially important. While the affordable care act grants protection to those with pre-existing conditions it is currently in jeopardy. The solution to this is exposure of this to the public. If the American people knew what this means and how important it is for the people that truly need it to survive then they would vote to protect those that need it.
The ambulance pulls into the hospital. You received the 9-1-1 pages about seven minutes ago. You heard from your team that there was a huge car accident involving a truck carrying gallons of gasoline and there’s victims covered in it. The ambulance doors swing open and they are removing the stretcher as the second ambulance is pulled in and about to unload as well when you hear that there’s a third one about five minutes behind. You get the patients into rooms and you’re accessing their injuries, determining which one is more serious and who is going to benefit from the treatment your team has to offer, but how do you decide? That’s what the RIP system is for.
Change is unavoidable. The need for organizational changes is the result of various factors. Changes in all aspects of healthcare in the past and currently are the result of continued decreases in reimbursement, advances in technology, and new or changes in government mandates. The focus in health care has shifted toward disease management, and as a result patients are living longer and requiring more long term and home health services. Advances in technology has led to better informed patients and increased expectations of the health care providers. This
