Section 1 Know how to identify development needs A.C 1.1 Identify own learning style(s) and the learning style(s) of another member of the team. Learning Styles Self-Assessment Everyone has their own preferred way of learning new things. Knowing how you learn can Help you take control of situations and develop further in learning or employment situations. To help me identify my own learning style(s) and that of a member of my team, I used the VAX questionnaire below. Tick box A B or C for each question that most represents how you generally behave. Legislation relating to employment exists to stop exploitation of workers by their employers mainly to protect the rights of their employee’s and to make sure that they have everything they need such as.
From the time of birth, individuals are constantly learning. Individual learning styles vary from person to person. It is essential to the education of the individual to learn the particular style of learning that best serves them. One particular analysis tool is the visual, aural, read/write, kinesthetic or V.A.R.K. tool (VARK, 2011). This tool allows the individual to identify their particular learning style which will better prepare them throughout their education.

This task is all about motivating the team to perform in the workplace. You should consider:
Through my work and life learning experiences, I have come to depend on my ability to adjust my learning style to that that best applies to the task. Some people don’t predominately fit into any one learning style but learn in multiple ways (Katharine Hanse, Ph.D.). Sometimes this happens distinctively, and at other times I have to step back and rethink my strategies.
Analogies, another NILD Level II technique, is a rich tool for strengthening many weak cognitive functions in all three phases of the mental act. Using intentionality, I will focus on my student’s need to strengthen his ability to engage in spontaneous comparative behavior in the elaboration phase. Engagement in spontaneous comparative behavior allows a student to move from simple recognition of objects and events to determining relationships among them and also implies that he or she will spontaneously search for likenesses and inconsistencies among those objects or events (Mentis et al, 2008). Further, an ability to engage in this cognitive act suggests that, when necessary, the student is able to modify the requirements of the comparison upon demand of the problem-solving situation (Mentis et al, 2008).
I began the learning style inventory with reasonable understanding of how I learn due to my professional requirements. As I studied each answer, it wasn’t as straightforward as I had originally suspected. I found it, at times difficult to pick one answer over the other in part because of many diverse prior personal experiences. This unit has taught me a lot about learning styles and how they can possibly overlap. Even though there’s a lot of overlapping, I could tell that my preference of learning style was analytical. I’ve always valued hands on experience, but I can now see how my learning styles play off one another. Once I obtain the hands on experience I can analyze each step to improve my performance in the future. Even though I enjoy
It has been analyzed through this observation that each of the participants has his own learning style;
Before I went to the ILC for the learning styles assessment, I had an idea of what my learning style was, but did not know what it really meant. I knew I was more of a visual or verbal learner, but I did not know how to use that in my everyday life.
This study was originally planned for 70-minutes in each session, for twice a week for 5 consecutive weeks, but the patient was unable to participate in that time frame, so instead, the treatment was performed for the total of 8 treatments (once a week for 8 weeks). There were no treatments performed on the first and the last sessions due to thorough assessments performed by the therapist but, on the fifth week, there was a brief Interim reassessment performed at the beginning to check patient’s condition and proceeded with treatments.
The first idea I came across was that there are many different methods of learning that can be figured from my personality. I like to think that I pick up on ideas quickly no matter how they are presented to me. Although I identified with many different styles of learning including kinesthetic and auditory I am primarily
According to the textbook there is various learning style. If I had a team member that enjoys hands on technical stuff such as computers, and calculators, I would teach this person by using a computer and allow some hands exploration. If the team member is one that enjoys learning by observing, than I would teach this individual by having this person watch a video or observe another employee perform the task and then allow this person to try the task. Someone who enjoys learning by doing, will be encourage to give the project a try with a little supervisor not hoover over. Knowing the team members learning style will help me assign job responsibility and trained them accordingly. I could use their learning style to pair them in a group project that will benefit everyone. Having knowledge about a team member learning style rather it is visual, auditory or kinesthetic will help me decide if I will be utilizing discovery, experimental, observational, structure, or group learning techniques. This assuming the individual has the mental ability to
Communication and collaboration is a major key to any learning assessments. Every person has different styles of learning three of the learning styles are visual-spatial, body-kinesthetic and verbal linguistic. Each person has a different type of personality to help develop communication and collaboration effectively. Three types of personality types are thinker, organizer, and giver. Developing strategy and combining learning style and personality style will ensure that the communication and collaboration of each learning assessment is effective.
