The roles of the leadership in the clinics are essential to the success or unsuccessful implementation of change. The attitude of the leadership carries weight on how well the rest of the staff receives the change. Leaders on the clinic level have to accept changes whether good or bad and expect staff to challenge them. Leaders have to be strong and accept the change themselves and to support upper management. There are problems dealing with changes when issues arise between created civilian and military personnel. These issues are not easily dealt with and when changes are ensuing within a facility this causes undue stress within the organization. This is one reason that leadership needs to bring forth and implement changes within an organization as all one team because staff is well suited at picking up any rift

Implementing change among all organizations is necessary to achieve success; within the health care industry change is constant and it is the role of management teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate change to ensure satisfaction. Considering this among the other aspects of running a successful organization it is essential to ensure that there is minimal resistance and familiarity to change. Demands of the consumers and staff as well as regulations are continuously changing. The responsibility of managers is to successfully lead these inevitable changes.

Change is a hard concept for most, but change in the hospital setting can be beneficial for both staff and patients. According to Mclean (2011), “Every change begins with an ending” (p.79). How people respond to change can make the process easy or hard depending on how the change is presented.

Healthcare managers must always be prepared to confront new challenges and changes to be able to have a competitive edge in the healthcare industry. As a new manager, I realize that my efficiency in handling things in the beginning won’t be excellent. I say this because like any job, it will take time to understand my role as well as all my new responsibilities. Personally, I am not that great in handling change, so I may resist the idea of change at first. Knowing that this can happen, I would have myself undergo transitional training beforehand to gain the knowledge and experience required.

Campaigning is the chosen straggly that will be used to make a change in sexism for woman in the work place. There five components that make up the Campaigning process: education, Persuasion, cooptation, lobbying and mass media appeal (book). This one strategy with its five components will be enough to make the desired change if it is carried out correctly.

In order to successfully and effectively implement change all of the employees should have a good understanding of how the changes will benefit the organization, their positions, and how it might impact their routines. To many employees the implementation of change is not always properly communicated, and the process of change on paper as it is being implemented can be threatening as well as confusing. Early last winter, my principal presented the idea of starting an advisory period to the teachers after she saw advisory classes implemented on a tour of another school. She did not have a clear vision--she just wanted to have advisory on our campus. She presented the idea to the teachers and hosted a large meeting with representatives from partner agencies. The collective feedback shared expressed that we were all in favor of looking into advisory, but wanted to research best practices, establish a clear goal, and have time to work together to plan the classes before beginning. Representatives from campus partners, including mental health workers, grandparents, houseparents, and work readiness staff, were willing to work with school staff to build an advisory program which would include co-teachers from partner agencies in each classroom.

Healthcare organizations do not contribute to the society’s welfare and impact the society positively therefore the relationship with the stakeholders is poor. With a poor relationship, this causes conflict between the patient and the doctor. Enough financial resources should be allocated to prevent quality of care issues and improve the quality of care to the patients. The moneys allocated can be used to purchase equipments that are beneficial to the care of the patients. There are many issues when it comes to the allocation of resources and should be cost effective to ensure the health benefits of those in the community that are being treated. If the allocations of the resources are not done correctly it can affect the community. Human resources should allocate financial resources to eliminate the shortage of doctors and nurses which has affected the performance and

With our main research question we aim at exploring the importance of effective change management and the characteristics of a successful change management program in a hospital. The main research question can be formulated as: To what extend is change management necessary and how can it most efficiently be implemented in a hospital?

In the article entitled “Lewin’s Theory of Planned Change as a Strategic Resource”, the author, Shirey (2013) stated that Lewin’s approach to change involves looking at the forces that are needed to diminished or strengthened in order to bring about change within an organization. Burnes and Cooke (2012) added to Shirey’s point by noting that it is important to understand the psychological forces influencing peoples’ behavior at a given point in time before change can be made. Both authors main point of agreement is that there are a number of forces that drive, restrain or balance peoples’ behavior. These authors stated that organizational change is necessary to meet consumer needs. Also, as technology changes, such as the change from the paper medical record to the EMR, health care organizations have to adopt these changes to improve patient safety. Lippitt’s Phases of Change is an extension of Lewin’s Three-Step Theory. The focus on Lippitt’s change theory is on the change agent rather than the change itself.

Improving the quality of health care system is the main goal of this organization. In this case study we will be talking about the strategic plans being made by the organization for the next decade to deal with the problems of resource management, network growth, patient satisfaction as well as nurse staffing.
