There many variety of topics out there to talk or write about. Instead of waiting for the news to come on the television, everyone checks the forecast online now. The forecast online updates regularly and lets other know what to expect when they leave their house. People don’t just use the internet to check the weather but they also shop online. When the store does not have what they are looking for, they search it online for a better price and the online site has more option to choose from. The Internet is also used for socializing with others that does not live close by. Everyone uses the Internet to communicate and meet new people. It is also a great way to keep in touch with those who loves to travel or lives in other countries.

The internet has changed the world as we knew it. The world no longer communicates, does business, or perches commodities in the same a traditional way. E-mail, instant massager and chat rooms were the first innovations to be used by the public. As time went on more and more people depended on the internet to communicate with each other. It did not take long for the U.S. Postal service to see the decline in mailed letters. With the internet being so easy to access and email being so easy to use it quickly became the preferred way to communicate with family and friends over long distances. Companies soon followed suit to better serve their clients.

The name Mayo Clinic comes from Dr. William Worrall Mayo and his sons. They invited physicians as well as students to visit and learn about their innovative and surgical practice. Not only were the Mayo brothers distinguished scholars but they also traveled and to learn from others and bring back the latest in medical developments so that they could bring it back to their own practice. The Mayo Clinic is ranked #1 in the Nation and many people come from all over the receive treatment here. As the Mayo Clinic continues to grow and integrate the importance of education is still the central focus. In 1915 the Mayo Clinic partnered with the University of Minnesota and developed the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education and by 1917 the first graduate degrees in Mayo’s programs were conferred to two women and two men.

The internet is backbone network that allows people and organizations to connect together. While there is many things that can be done on the internet, the internet is just a medium for communication. It is neither good or bad. However, it can be used for positive or negative. The internet just transfers whatever information that is sent.

The internet offers the potential to achieve a global market success for any business. Businesses that go online increase their opportunities to reach their target market and is cost effective when compared with other forms of marketing. It creates opportunities, benefits and challenges for a business but in the long run is worth it for the added publicity and hopefully profits. Going online has benefited many organisations including Tesco PLC. I will be using Tesco as my example of the benefits, opportunities and challenges for a business by using the internet. Phil came into the clinic because his wife had requested him to receive some professional help. While he was at the clinic, the meeting did not last long. He was there for about an hour and I was able to determine some psychological disorders that Phil may be suffering from. Phil was asked to come back in for follow-up sessions which he will be asked more questions and complete assessments that are the appropriate diagnosis of Phil.

The internet has been used to upload information of any kind, and because of this people can learn about so much more. Someone can study, earn educational degrees, and develop skills just by obtaining all the information and doing the work on the internet. This cuts costs and opens up so many more opportunities for people. The internet helps make different thing more eco-friendly. So many different things that have been printed on paper are now easily found on the internet. Instead of receiving bank statements or different mail it can be requested to get through the internet. Another major utility of the internet is the ability to keep people connected. The internet allows friends and family to pay a low monthly price for e-mail, instant message and the ability to speak through a person’s computer. People can actually dial out to another computer and hold a conversation just as if they were on the phone.

It is one of the biggest contributors in making the world into a global village. Use of internet has grown tremendously since it was introduced. It is mostly because of its flexibility. Nowadays one can access the internet easily. Most people have computers in their homes but even the ones who don't they can always go to cyber cafes where this service is provided.

The internet is the easier way for people to communicate with each other. It has made the world smaller by bringing people together everywhere and any time. This invention has important tools for people to contact and it has changed their way of communication in today busy world. In fact people are becoming totally dependent on the internet as a way of communication in their daily life, business and work. The limitation of old communication tools has made the use of internet for communication is wider all over the world .
