Each topic requires you to (1) define a specific problem, (2) find an effective solution (product, system, design, technology, etc.), and (3) clearly explain how the solution will work to eradicate the problem. Note: You are not permitted to write on a topic you have written on previously, in your WRIT 120 course, for example. • Find a problem that you will solve using an engineering (electrical, electronics, civil, mechanical, etc.) solution. • Find an IT problem (software, hardware, or any other relevant issue) and offer a solution. • Propose a replacement of one of the following in institutions, businesses, or cities: furniture …show more content…
Include front matter and back matter. Be sure to identify problem, analyze data adequately, and recommend solution (s). Organize your report coherently. • Use four to five credible secondary sources in the body of the report. Cite each source many times. • Use a minimum of two visuals. Format, cite (if borrowed), and incorporate them appropriately. • Format page numbers, spacing and all other appearance and design factors as per APA rules. • Make sure the entire report is written in your own words and all sources have been cited. • Submit a hard copy of the report at the beginning of class on the due date and submit it into SafeAssign by the end of the day. Your assignment will be graded if both the hard copy and the digital copy are submitted by the specified date and time. NOTE Before you can write the report, you will need to do the following: 1. Understand your purpose and audience 2. Develop and limit your topic 3. Plan, conduct, evaluate, and record research 4. Write a research proposal (see Critical Path for due date) 5. Write an APA test (see Critical Path for due date) 6. Develop a report outline (see Critical Path for due date) 7. Write an annotated bibliography (see Critical Path for due
Hey guys, my name’s Zoe Davis, and I was born in Somerset, Kentucky, but we live in Wayne County. (Basically everybody in Wayne County was born in Somerset. Wayne County’s hospital…eesh.) I was born in 1998, so I’m turning 18 this year, in April. My parents are Danny and Vicki Davis, and I have two brothers named Brandon and Nikolas. Brandon got married in 2014 to my sister-in-law Kelsey, and Nikolas is starting eighth grade next school year. (No children, but I have a dog and a bunch of half-wild cats.)
Student D’s other teachers allow her to do alternative assignments and play games on the computer which she enjoys doing and will chose if given the opportunity. She seems to perform better if she has a reduced workload.
UGH! This assignment was difficult! There were so many students that I wanted to include and it was very challenging to only pick three! I chose Michael because he was so obviously “gifted” in that he had displayed extremely high test scores and showed the ability to have original thought. I then wanted to be as inclusive as possible, and choose someone from a low SES household and with a minority background, while still having data to support my decisions. My second choice was Pearl. Pearl had high scores and seemed to have the behaviors to succeed in the system. I think that the program would benefit her, and that as soon as her parents saw that, they would come around. My third choice was Elaine. Elaine shows high creative ability and characteristics
I will asked Bobby what's making him upset and why he doesn't want to go back to his P.E. class. I will also calm him down first and then explain and teach him how to handle the situation when it happen again.
When a misquote is provided to a member, spicifically a Blue Choice member being advised that a PPO provider is a Blue Choice Provider instead of adjusting the claim to pay 100% of billed charges why can't the claim be adjusted to pay at the PPO contacted rate if the Provider has a PPO contract? This could save thousands of dollars.
There are many ways of searching for relevant data sources such as the internet, books, previous reports and speaking to the team. However, you must take in to account how long it will take to research these different sources, whether they are available and how accurate and unbiased they are.
I requested the writing specialist to focus on three areas: Grammar and Mechanics, Thesis and Sentences Structure. The feedback I received was great. My introduction provides a clear context to my discussion, background information, and thesis statement of looking at solutions to a problem and discussing ethical implications! The writing specialist did point out reviewing APA guidelines on presenting headings and subheadings and recommended using either PIE or ICE methods to effectively incorporate research into my own points, information from sources that proves them, and explanations of significance and relevance to your purpose for writing.
This chart says it all. An additional point that I would like to add is: Ensure all invited are relevant to the meeting, they can either provide guidance, provide input or are impacted by the outcome (outcome might not be relevant unless they can impact change). I say this as 40% of all meetings I have to attend, can be summed up in an email ( I can't do any of the above items (It's only informational at this point).
The first five weeks of this assignment nobody within my group was willing to make an actaul effort outside of class to make time to film and organise how we would approach this assignment. Leaving me to do basically all of the work from ideas, shot lists and organising everyone to meet and film, while Nick (Nicholas Aw) did some of the filming on his own I was left to do 90% of the moving camera work as Lahi and Anna disapeared for a solid hour during filming after returning the Dolly equiptment. From there I edited the assignment together as I’d originally offered to do the editing as I have the Final Cut Pro software on my Laptop. The entire group came up with the idea for the assingment and how we would approach it after we agreed on the idea. Production wise that Role went to myself as I took lead in the group and organised times and shot lists. However, after an chat and email to Louise after class, I stepped back as discussed, but still I have had to find out if anyone was doing any work and doing a small amount of editing and trying to explain that this assignment was about incorporating the moving camera technique not narrative and this has not really been done in the final assignment as the majority of the assignment footage is still shots.
3. Your project should be presented in report format and should contain an Executive Summary and a Bibliography. Use of Appendices would be appropriate.
I chose Blacksmithing as my topic, but, at first, I honestly didn't know what I wanted to do. I thought and thought, but I couldn't come up with anything, until one day I was cleaning around my dad's forge and then I
Over the course of this class the topic that would appeal to me for research would have something to do with medical development. I am a medical professional and new inventions such as medication, vaccines and diagnostic procedures highly interest me. I love to read about them and research them. I also like to read the pros and cons about them, so writing an evaluation paper might be something that would interest me above all. I also like to read about education and politics and these subjects are also something I would like to research. Above all, I feel most comfortable researching a subject in a medical field because, I feel that is where my strongest opinions and arguments are.
The introduction must set the scene for the reader. It should describe why the report has been written, give background information on the subject matter, and explain the method of investigation used along with key ideas.
The components and sub-components under consideration for an ideal report should include {Needs review/enhanced by David and Emil}:
Topic (give source information, name of class, title of lecture, date, depending on the task)
