It 's important to say that for more fickle projects, auxiliary frameworks exist for thoughts regarding project management, particularly the spiral model (Melonfire, 2006). The Spiral Life Cycle Model is a kind of iterative software development model which is normally put into practice in extreme risk projects ("Spiral," n.d.). In this system development method the aspects of both, waterfall model and prototype model are united. In the spiral development model the activities can be arranged in the form of a spiral ("Spiral," n.d.).
There are many advantages to the spiral development model. Spiral Life Cycle Model is one of the most adaptable software development lifecycle models in use ("Spiral," n.d.). Development stages can be established by the project manager, according to the difficulty of the project. Furthermore, observing the project is incredibly simple and efficient. Every stage, including each loop, involves a assessment from worried people ("Spiral," n.d.).
This makes the spiral development model extra translucent. Risk management is another of the features included in the model, which means it is extra fascinating to weigh against other models ("Spiral," n.d.). Moreover, any alterations could be made later in the life cycle the project manger can copy these changes whenever necessary. The spiral development method is great for high risk projects were the business needs are improper.
The
A project management life cycle (PMLC) model is a sequence that is made up by the five process groups - Scoping, Planning, Launching, Monitoring & Control and Closing, and it’s used for achieving the goal of a project. In handling a project using a PMLC model, the entire process group must be present at least once in a sequence, and any or all of the process groups, may be repeated as required (Wysocki, 2009:299). To be analysed comparatively here are two different type of PMLC model- Adaptive PMLC model and Extreme PMLC model. An Adaptive PMLC model is an Agile Project Management (APM) model which consists of a number of phases that are repeated in cycles between the scoping and closing process groups, with a feedback loop after each
The paper is divided into three sections, the first of which will establish a timeline of events. This project background will serve as a case study for the analysis in the following section that will be structured such that each of the previously mentioned facets will be independently analyzed and contrasted with project management principles. Finally the paper will conclude with a summary of the analysis and recommendations based on
The objective of this project request is to track purchases of individual customer 's. The customer purchases will be tracked and accumulated as loyalty points for redemption by the customer for gift items, specialty foods and other products or services as made available through partnerships with other external companies. The strategic purpose of the Frequent Shopper Program is described on the Sales & Marketing page of the Kudler Fine Foods Intranet site.
Kudler Fine Foods is a local and upscale specialty food store with a total of four stores in La Jolla, Del Mar, and Encinitas California with their main base store in San Diego, California. Each store maintains and sells high quality bakery, pastries, fresh produce, meat, seafood, specialty condiments, packaged foods, cheeses, and dairy products.
A frequent shopper program can be a successful tool is used correctly by a company. The difficult task will always be bringing in new costumers. This program should allow for the retention of existing customers with Kudler Fine Foods. A rewards points system should be used for the exchange of
In this paper we will evaluate the Kudler website and make some recommend some improvements. Kudler Fine Foods website has strengths and weaknesses and we will evaluate the existing site and purposes improvements for redesigns while building on the strengths of the current sites. The following specifically addressed design are the style and artistic quality used on the website, navigation of the site, marketing strategy, performance of the whole site, e-commerce capabilities, the web community as a whole, and layout of the site.
Kudler Fine Foods has requested a system to launch its new Frequent Shopper Program. This new initiative will track purchase behavior at the individual customer level. Through a partnership with a loyalty points program, Kudler will be able to offer their most valued customers high value incentives. Behavior patterns discovered from tracking purchases will enable Kudler to refine its processes and offerings to customers. Customers prefer Kudler’s Fine Foods because of the high quality foods. Rather than offering discounted prices for loyalty points redemption, Kudler will offer high value gifts to customers. This will promote the
To inspire customer loyalty and respond to customer shopping preferences, the Sales and Marketing department of Kudler Fine Foods is initiating a Frequent Shopper Program to track customer purchase patterns and provide shopper incentives through a loyalty points program. (University of Phoenix [UoP], 2007). Specialty items are more important to Kudler customers than the price of items, so instead of providing everyday discounts for purchase frequency, Kudler has partnered with a loyalty points program to reward customers with redeemable points for high-value gift items, airline upgrades or other specialty foods. "Building unique rewards programs that differentiate the brand--along
The design team from Team A devised this business proposal as a response to the Service Request: SR-kf-013. This proposal includes the business goals, scope, requirements, feasibility, and information flow involved in the Shopper Rewards Program of Kudler Fine Foods (Kudler Fine Foods, Inc., 2008). Moreover, the budget, timeline, trainings, implementation and support for the said program were also
Lastly, to gauge program success, KFF could also implement a suggestion program where the company takes information from customer transactions and based from that data make suggestions of like or similar foods that may appeal to that same customer. The store could use the “suggestion series” foods as a way to gauge program success by tracking the sales of the suggested foods with pre and post level timetables and inventory levels.
Kudler Fine Foods (KFF) is a specialty food store chain with three retail stores in the San Diego, California area. KFF has engaged Smith Systems Consulting (SSC) to develop their new Frequent Shopper Program (FSP). The FSP will collect customer-purchasing history and accumulate them as redeemable loyalty points which customers can use for gift items and other products or services available through external partner companies. The Sales and Marketing page section of KFF’s intranet site describes the strategic plan for the Frequent Shopper Program. (Apollo Group, 2011).
Before I start discussing the five project management life cycle models, it is very important to understanding below project management landscape and its four Quadrants:
Please Spiral model is similar to the evolutionary model with more emphasis on risk management. The diagrammatic representation of the model is in form of spiral having many loops. The exact number of loops of the spiral is not fixed. It may vary from project to project. Each loop of the spiral is called up as the phase of the software development process. Basically there are 4 phases of the spiral model – Planning, Risk Analysis, Engineering and Review & Reevaluation. Software repeatedly passes through these phases in order to reach the completion.
Project monitoring is very easy & effective. Each phase, as well as each loop, requires
Spiral model is a software development methodology that used the pros of waterfall model and RAD (Rapid application development) concept. It is a type of methodology that having a lot of risk analysis about the difficulties occurs and the early version of program can be developed quickly by using prototyping. Next, this methodology is having strong communication with the end-user due to its cycle (also referring to spirals in this methodology) keep repeating. It also is using the latest module that created during the previous cycle for developing next prototype. Next, when the troubles are not resolved able, developers can realize earlier. This can let the organization decide whether this project should continue or not. The cycle will continue loop until the primary people feel comfortable with the design.
