World leaders are leaders with high governmental power in the world. Every leader, not just world leaders, is either great or corrupt; they are rarely both. Most of Russia’s history is filled with corrupt leaders. Joseph was one of those leaders. Stalin killed millions of people during his rule. But Stalin also led the Soviet Union almost to the top in world power. Stalin had many influences that led him to his Soviet Leadership in which gave him many admirers but even more non-supporters.

Joseph Stalin was the most controversial person in Russia who has come into power. This has come from his 5 year plan that he has assembled when Russia was in shambles, due to the civil war, the economy failing, and no industrial equipment. His job now was to restore Russia and make it into an industrial powerhouse.

Adolf Hitler was a German politician in the 1900s. He was the leader of the Nazi Party and Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945. He was important because he was the dictator of Nazi Germany and started World War II when he invaded Poland, seeking “living space” for Germans. He also directly caused the Holocaust. With his corrupt ideology he was able to sway an entire nation and poison the leaders of Japan and Italy. With Hitler and his ever growing army he set a plan into motion to spread the Nazi party throughout the world, beginning in Europe. He committed mass murder of eleven million people, six million being of the Jewish faith.

Stalin however, is also responsible for the deaths of millions of Soviet Union citizens, ranging in ethnicity from Polish to Russian to Ukrainian. Many similar instances of massive abuses of power, from executing and exiling political opponents to ethnic cleansing to prevent nationalistic uprisings, mar the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin. His extremist ideology that advocated violent revolution, as well as a childhood filled with abuse and violence and a chaotic environment influenced him, creating the man that would terrorize and murder millions of people. He would not however, been able to abuse his power without first obtaining the authority and capability to do as such. Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar shows examples of leaders who prevailed over time and leaders who didn’t. This information combined with knowledge of other past leaders can be used to establish common traits among effective leaders and common traits among ineffective leaders. Although Joseph Stalin is primarily considered a cruel tyrant, he also exhibits several of the leadership traits deemed most effective. While most can agree that his practices were immoral, it is often forgotten that due to his organization, practicality, and determination, Stalin was a decidedly effective leader.

Although historians often refer to Stalin as a ruthless, mindless dictator, he redirected the Russian Revolution to major economic development. Stalin’s character in Russia during the Revolution catalyzed the many events that took place during the time period. Because of Stalin’s ability to both appeal to the masses, and take advantage of events, like Lenin’s death, Stalin was able to rise to power. Essentially, the Russian Revolution fostered the development of Stalin’s dictatorship leading the country into a state of economic growth and influence. The Revolution fostered Stalin’s ability to maintain a central leadership, use violence to gain control, and regenerate a previously disconnected economy.

Joseph Stalin was the leader of Russia from the mid 1920's until his death in 1953. In the early stages of his life Stalin suffered a difficult childhood. During his early adulthood he was a criminal, and as an adult he was a strong dictator that oppressed the people of Russia. He wanted to transform the Soviet Union from a peasant society into an industrial superpower. This lead to the famine of millions, and the death or exile of any that opposed him.

A leader is defined as a guiding or directing head. Stalin was the leader of the party that was in charge of the Soviet Union. One role would be that of a person who under Stalin’s system was no different than the person who is standing next to them. Everyone was treated equal in all facets. First off, Adolf Hitler was the son of Klara and Alois Hitler. Hitler was the leader of Nazi Germany nicknamed Der Führer (German for The Leader). He was born April 20, 1889, in Braunau am Inn, Austria. He married Eva Braun on April 30, 1945. Hitler is famous for many quotes such as “Any alliance whose purpose is not the intention to wage war is senseless and useless.” He also said “strength lies not in defense but in attack.” By the quotes it is obvious that he was very violent and thought different from most human beings, but yet people still dreamed to follow in his footsteps. He had many followers and the Nazi’s were on his side as he rose closer and closer to his goal: to get rid of Jews in Nazi Germany and take over.

Adolf Hitler was one of the 20th century's most powerful dictators. He was responsible for World War II and the death of millions. Hitler saw a nation in despair and used this as an opportunity to gain political power. He saw a nation of unemployed and hungry citizens and promised them economic prosperity in return for absolute power. Someone once said "The Nazis rose to power on the empty stomachs of the German people".

Joseph stalin signs the Brestlitovsk treaty good decision or terrible mistake. Signing this non-aggression pact with Germany seemed like a good idea at the time but soon around a month later Adolf hitler decided to invade Poland and start World War II. When this happened Stalin became very nervous. For the simple fact that Hitler was winning very rapidly in the west. He actually had a nervous breakdown and could not command the Red Army or even the delegate effective control. Soon after he recovered but by this time Germany had made some very big advances in the mainland of the USSR but what was left of the geverment had left into Moscow and Stalin staid in Kremlin and took care of the military infruastructer

This is the very question that arises when a person considers Stalin as a leader. Considering the negative aspects of Stalin, one might say he was ruthless, arrogant and even worse than Hitler but did not get the worst of the hit because he won the World War.
