Mark Zuckerberg is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Facebook. He founded Facebook out of his dorm room at Harvard as a 19 year old, with friends Dustin Moskovitz, Chris Hughes, and Eduardo Saverin. Today, he is responsible for the overall direction of the business, and setting the strategy for the product. He leads the teams working on the design and development of Facebook’s core services, technology and infrastructure (Newsroom.fb.com, 2017). Started in 2004, Facebook had over 21 million registered users by 2007, with over 1.6 billion page views every single day (Ellison, Steinfield and Lampe, 2007). As of December 2016, this number had risen to 1.86 billion monthly active users on the website (Investor.fb.com, 2017).
