In the initial grade appeal, I attempt to speak to Dr. Williams, the 103 General Psychology Professor in regards to my grade of an “F,” but he refused to see me or to let me look at my final exam grade. I received an email from Dr. Williams and he stated “I have no intention of changing your grade.” I had completed assignments that I never received a grade for in which I should have received credit, but I did not. I did not get satisfaction from Dr. Williams so I contacted Dr. Eborall.

Many colleges and universities throughout the United States and several other countries face a common problem. Student retention is a growing problem across the nation for all ethnic groups and all ages. Each individual who chooses to drop out of school has their own personal reasons as to why they do. However, many drops out can be completely avoided. When students drop out they are not clearly thinking about how it’s going to affect their future, the future of their children and even grandchildren. Although there are several reasons as to why students drop out of school, we will be exploring a few as it relates to why student retention is a growing problem.

Once I came back and took my assignments to him on Wednesday he said he would not grade them. I could not make it to class on monday because of the Patricia storm's effects that had hit Houston. However, my work was complete for each consecutive class but he said he would not take it. Then again I asked him on friday with all the other assignments that I was submitting if he could take my assignments and he said no.
