In this company research project I have decided to do my research on McDonalds Canada. I decided to select this company because as a formal employee who had a great experience working there, I wanted to look deeper into what makes this company runs so well. I started with knowing McDonald Canada’s mission statement; it says, “Our customers are why we 're here. We show our appreciation with high-quality food and exceptional service, in a clean, welcoming environment at a great value. Our goal is always quality, service, cleanliness and value for every customer, every time”. (McDonald’s Canada, 2015).

It is a private and family owned company. Harry Snyder and Esther Snyder started the brand in 1948. Headquarter is located in Irvine, California. They opened their first drive-thru restaurant on Francisquito Ave. and Garvey Ave. in Baldwin Park, California (www.in-n-out.com). Three years later, in 1951, Harry and Esther opened their second restaurant, and then they started accumulating profits for reinvestment and step-by-step growing. “I’m lovin’ it” (mcdonalds.com) is the motto for McDonalds. I can remember watching the commercials on my television and wanting to eat McDonalds. Going to McDonalds was my favorite place to eat as a kid. I loved the salty fries and the prize you would get in a happy meal and I would beg my parents to take me so I could get them. When I was little they had the slide and ball pit, which I absolutely loved to play in. As I got older I started to learn about different cultures and I was always curious how the American businesses impacted other countries. I always knew that McDonalds made a ginormous impact in America. Every kid wants a meal from McDonalds but I would wonder if children in other countries would crave McDonalds meals like Americans

Today what is known as In-N-Out Burger was first founded by Harry Snyder and his wife Esther Snyder in 1948. The first location was in Baldwin Park California (ReferenceforBusiness.com). Now with over 200 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and Texas it has been ranked number one in many polls (ReferenceforBusiness.com). Today its headquarters are in Irvine California.

Even though McDonald’s and Burger King are really similar, they are also really different. They both try to have good advertising but McDonald’s is, most of the time, ahead. Their food seems to have the same condiments, but again, they are far away to be the same. He then gives a description of the population before, during, and after World War 2, informing its readers that Plauen was abandoned after Britain bombed the city. Plauen was occupied by the U. S.A. and the Soviet Union during and after the war, and was a common place where protests broke out. According to the book, after the war ended McDonald’s was the first corporation to open a new building in the city.

Im sure you heard of the fast food restaurant In and Out burgers, especially if you live near the American southwest and the Pacific Coast. This restaurant has been since the year 1948 the first restaurant that opened was in Los Angeles in Baldwin Park, California by the owners Harry Snyder and his wife Esther Snyder. It also was the first restaurant that has a drive thru in California. The owner Harry Snyder stated "Give customers the freshest, highest quality foods you can buy and provide them with friendly service in a sparkling clean environment", and til this day he has sit his word on it.

Food is very much a part of pop culture, and the beliefs, practices, and trends in a culture affect its eating practices. Pop culture includes the ideas and objects generated by a society, including foods, and other systems, as well as the impact of these ideas and objects on society. For example, Mcdonald's is another of the thousands of fast food chains that populate our cities though they often use the term “popular culture” only to refer to media forms. Their popularity has also increased internationally. Although all humans need food to survive, people's food habits and how they obtain, prepare, and consume food, are the result of learned behaviors. Mcdonald’s, like other food chains, has made an effort to ‘localize’ its products so that they will be more successful in each different cultural context. These collective behaviors, as well as the values and attitudes they reflect, come to represent a group’s pop culture.

There are many businesses people call the "evil empire", arguably the number one evil empire in most people's minds is McDonald's. Nothing will divide a room of parents like talk of McDonald's. Many parents believe McDonald's truly is the "evil empire" while other parents enjoy the novelty of the restaurant and its food. I chose McDonald's as my company to write about because I am a capitalist at heart and I believe in the power of big companies to make changes that set the standard for an entire industry.

McDonald's has had a global impact on the food industry. McDonald's developed a revolutionary idea known today as fast-food. This impact began in 1930 when Maurice and Richard McDonald left New Hampshire seeking to make a fortune in Hollywood, started up a drive-in restaurant in San Bernardino. Unlike so many other food-service operations at the time, McDonald's came up with new ideas that turned the usual slow paced dinner into a finely tuned engine.

Not having to answer to a corporate boss is the dream of many and the flexibility that owning a business franchise creates provides this option. Success is not reached by simply creating a business, however. The level of success is measured by the size and efficiency of the business. Business growth is the driving force of the economy. The additional jobs and revenues created when a business expands allow the economy to grow at exponential rates. One of the fastest and most popular ways to increase the size of a business is to turn it into a franchise, which can then be purchased by individuals.
