Marketing is often thought of as advertising and selling, but marketing encompasses more than just selling a product or service and advertising it to entice customers to make a purchase. Perrault, Cannon, and McCarthy (2009) defined marketing as "the performance of activities that seek to accomplish an organization’s objectives by anticipating customer or client needs and directing a flow of need satisfying goods and services from producer to customer or client" (p. 6). However, Kotler and Keller (2009) stated one of the shortest definitions is "meeting needs profitably" (p. 5). The author's definition of marketing includes all of the activities a business

This is my fourth semester attending Lamar Institute of Technology. The thing that seemed to be most difficult was that most students are not offered outside opinions on teachers and the classes offered. It seems like a challenge due to the fact that as students he or she does not know what he or she are getting into.
There are many different types of animals that work for us. There are three types of service animals that help the disabled. Guide animals assist the blind, hearing animals signal the deaf, and there are many other animals that help persons with other disabilities. Another way that animals work for us is by providing emotional support to those with mental health issues. These animals are usually prescribed by a doctor and they are called emotional support animals. One last way that we can see an animal working is in the military. There are many military working dogs that serve to protect us just as a

In my initial post, I wanted to learn more about myself and those that I am around daily. In fact, I should have given more detail since I am interested in learning about how to communicate effectively with different personality types because I supervise many different individuals. In reality, I feel that this will give me a gateway to evaluate myself as a teacher and learn what works best for each employee. Also, we find that when we understand the people that we are around it makes us more effective leaders which can lead to a more successful workplace (Dibra, 2014). However, I have found that this class offered so much more than I first realized. During the last four weeks, we have discussed that sleep plays such a significant role in repairing our bodies, sleep deprivation can cause serious health issues, the beauty industry and environmental factors can lead to an unhealthy lifestyle, and the differences in the parenting styles. We have covered several areas in our comment section that consist of how the mind and nervous system are associated by having overlapping patterns of activity, how brain trauma can affect an individual and the discussion of neuroscience as it relates to the criminal justice system (Cacioppo & Freberg, 2013). Also, we have learned how the
I spoke to the leaders in Main on Friday regarding how many positions they needed filled and how long they've been waiting for replacements.
When I first took the test to see what I scored, I was surprised with many of my results.
In this activity we were given three separate tasks based on one theme. The first activity we were given was to form five questions that we could ask a specific person that we knew. The questions had to be based on a journey that a specific person has either been on or had been taken part in. Once we had formed these questions our second task we had to complete was to interview the specific person that you based your questions on. We had to ask the questions that we created to them and then we had to record their answers. Our third and final activity we had to complete was to turn the interview and answers that we were given into a story based on our subjects journey. We had to change the interview into a story which meant that we had to change the interview into past tense. We also had to put the interview together into sentences rather than questions and answers.
My fourth grade class has participated in a service-learning project for the past eight years. Before the Christmas season, we read several books about giving, including a children’s version of “The Gift of the Magi”. Then we discuss how the money that parents send for the students’ Christmas five dollar gift exchange could be used for something else. The children vote whether or not they want to keep the normal gift exchange or donate the money to another cause (every year the students have chosen to donate their gift money to others). Then the students brainstorm organizations or ideas for the money. After the list is narrowed down to five ideas, the children are broken into groups and given one of the organizations to research, and then they write a persuasive report to present to the class. After the students have heard the persuasive reports, a final vote is taken to choose the organization. Next, the students are responsible for writing a letter home to their parents explaining why they have chosen to donate their gift exchange money to the charity or organization. We have sent care packages to overseas soldiers, bought goodie bags for nursing home patients, and sent money to Heifer
Payment was denied due to the lack of medical necessity for the frequency of the billed procedure. The carrier stated that the procedure was last performed on August 28, 2014.
Gina wakes up at 7 am Monday-Thursday for her Marketing class that begins promptly at 8:30 am. The first thing she checks is her IPhone, to see what her friends have been up to on their spring break. She answers any texts she received throughout the night and finally gets up and begins her day. Gina rides to school in a 2013 Fusion, which she pays for herself, which is why she wasn’t able to go on spring break this year because she needed to put money aside for the car. Even though she didn’t get to go on vacation this year she still loves hearing the updates from her friends, it makes her feel connected in a sense.
Louis, I thought you did a very good job on your week two task. Your discussion board post was well researched and written. I’d noticed some spelling mistakes, punctuation, grammar, or APA errors. Sonja is seriously injured in an auto accident. After six months, she is still unable to return to work. She has no income from her job, and the insurance premium payments are financially burdensome. In this case Sonja has an ordinary life insurance with the waiver-of-premium attached so after six months all premiums would be waived if Sonja is totally disabled. Under some policies, a retroactive refund of the premium paid during the first six months would be paid. (Rejda, George, McNamara, 2014).
