STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
This essay enlightens my academic and professional accomplishments. It also sheds light on my career objectives and the motivation to pursue the postgraduate program in Electrical Engineering at the Edith Cowan University, Perth.
I did my O ‘Levels in 2008 from Shahwallayat Public School, Karachi. It is one of the renowned schools in Pakistan. Besides its excellent education, it also believes in providing physical education to students which is the essence of the school and has produced a number of international players who earned a good name for the country. I was quite an energetic student in school and I used to participate in almost all types of healthy sports activities. I participated in many of our school extracurricular activities and sports events like Cricket tournament, basketball, Science Olympiad, Role play. All this helped me a lot in building up a strong positive personality and to learn valuable social skills.
Mathematics, Physics and Computers were my favorite subjects from the beginning and thus I was prone to get enrolled in a Pre-Engineering College for my higher secondary schooling. I completed my higher secondary schooling in 2010 from reputable Aga khan higher secondary school

SSUET is recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Pakistan placing it in the highest category ‘W’. All the engineering programs of the university are accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) which is the national accreditation body for engineering degree programs. The University has ongoing collaboration programs with many higher educational research institutions of the international repute. It is a member of International Association of Universities (IAU) with headquarters at UNESCO in Paris and also a member of Commonwealth Association of Universities
From every subject I realized that physics and mathematics together formed the language of engineering. I immensely loved Production technology lab and materials and structures lab because we were involving to solve the theorems and problems in real time. I got the basic training in some of the core software packages like Auto CAD, Catia V5 and Ansys Mechanical and Fluent platforms. I have also participated in some product designing competitions. I always thought Aeronautical is an individual branch by itself, but realized it is just a branch of Mechanical Engineering during my sophomore year. There are many Mechanical concepts which include all the basics of my Engineering. Aeronautical Engineering is just a big piece which became possible by joining the many smaller parts of Mechanical
Throughout high school, I challenged myself by taking Advanced Placement math and science courses, such as chemistry, physics, and calculus. These classes jump started my interest in pursuing a STEM related career. I also had the opportunity to take an Introduction into Engineering and an Engineering
I have been a part of honors, Pre- Advanced Placement, and Advanced Placement classes Since the ninth grade at Thompson High School in Alabaster, Alabama. Thanks to these higher level courses I have gained a great amount of discipline and knowledge. Maintaining a balance between school and my other activities has not always been easy. I have had to manage my priorities in several instances in order to do well in school.
My name is Faiza Razaq and I am from Pakistan. My main motivation behind this application for admission is my keen interest and experience in the field of software engineering
Starting in middle school I began taking advanced classes in math and science. I am especially excited with the math courses I have completed. I will be taking Advanced Placement Calculus my senior year, which will begin in a few weeks. I am moving into my second year of Advanced Placement Physics, where I relish the challenge of applying advanced concepts to real world issues.
I will not dream about success I’ll always work for it. As the only child in the family I knew that I have a massive responsibility on my shoulders. My parents knew the value of education and they sent me to one of the prestigious colleges in the country. From a youthful age my heart was in the Science and Technology field. Constantly back in my primary schooling age I have reminded my mother “mother, I want be a scientist someday”. Whenever I found a chance to explore electrical equipments like toy cars I didn’t hesitate. However as I became more matured and started to grasp the concepts of mathematics hence my ambition of becoming a scientist took a turn towards engineering. On the other hand I believe my father also made a high impact on me to
Starting freshman year, one of my first courses was Intermediate Programming which introduced me to the world of programming, coding, computers and technology in general. I developed a great interest for this field because of its use of numbers, logic and problem solving. I enjoyed looking at code and seeing how I could make it more robust or efficient. The joy from that class led me to take AP computer science two years later and then IT Essentials my senior year. During my sophomore year, I took Aeronautical Engineering and Engineering Applications. During these two classes I was as exposed to the engineering process and how to manage a project. Particularly, as a final project in Engineering Applications, I combined my
Why would you like to attend the Governor's School of Engineering &Technology? What do you hope to gain from and contribute to the program? Be sure to tell us about your interests in engineering and technology, how they've developed, and any steps you have taken to explore these disciplines. Though I’ve always picked engineering as my top career choice, I developed interests in software engineering when I started learning programming in middle school through MOOCs.
Throughout my highschool experience I has taken rigourous math courses including AP Calculus AB,Calculus 2/3, and Differential Equations 1/2. I have also gained college credit for all these courses as well. Being in such a program has allowed me to gain college credit in a numerous amount of classes in areas of both physics math, and life sciences, and I'm so grateful have gotten the opportunity to be entering college on track to achieving my degree in Chemical
Many people will not participate in athletic sports after high school or college. The grade point average are the most important aspect of one’s school experience. The academic performance will play a strong role for a person to get a job as the grade you earn from your own education will be proportional to your grade in
Taravella High School allowed me to choose between going to a technical college or a community college. After researching what classes I would take, I decided to go to the technical college to study electronics. I felt that taking Composition and College Algebra just wouldn’t be interesting enough for me at the time. The electronics technology program that I’m in has been very fun for me even though it has been a rigorous program.
The field of mathematics is one of many fields like art, science, and technology that relates to the field of electrical engineering. In fact, the mathematics and electrical engineering’s writing format share distinct qualities. Arrigo and Taylor discuss their work by explaining that there are many methods to solve a problem, but each method has its shortcoming. However, Taylor’s engineering format has subsections to explain further results unlike Arrigo’s mathematics format where it continues to explain in terms a non-mathematician would have trouble following.
Math has always been my favorite subject in school and I will always be curious about how the world worked that is how science will capture my attention. I was in a program in middle school called AVID that prepared me for high school and got me to start thinking about college. This program is what introduced me to a high school program called Project Lead The Way (PLTW). It was an engineering program that taught me what engineering is and the different types of engineering. Once I knew it involved math and science, I was eager to join the program, it seems interesting and fun to be a part of. I submitted an application to be part of PLTW and I got accepted, I have been part of Project Lead The Way for 3 years. As a matter of fact, I became interested in Civil Engineering when we build bridges in PLTW. With your partner,
Although, it is invisible but it is something real and substantial. As a power engineer, I’ll be helping to guarantee electricity supply to keep businesses and households going – allowing everyone to do what they have to do and importantly, do what they want to do. Power Engineers help to shape the future. Clean energy sources, smart grid, energy efficiency and electric vehicles are some of the promising areas that depend on new technology designed by power and energy engineers. Pursuing my interest, I have also worked in Goldwind Co. Ltd, where I designed algorithms for the fault detection in wind turbines, which was verified by the company and is installed in a big wind farm near
My interest towards mathematics made me to take Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as the main subjects during my intermediate (10+2). After obtaining 94% marks in Intermediate and securing a top 6% rank in engineering entrance test, I opted for Computer Science Engineering in JNTU College of Engineering. Immediately after my Bachelor’s degree, I secured the job in Wipro Technologies and this offered me numerous opportunities to learn about the technical aspects of Software industry.
