Personal Mission Statement: NAEYC
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” These are words spoken by Nelson Mandela that I strongly agree with.
When you’re being educated you’re exposed to multiple positive experiences. While communicating with adults and their peers, children gain social skills. When a child gains knowledge they can feel smart and this improves upon their self-esteem. Mental health is just as important as physical health. A good education facility has a way for students to work on their both physical and mental health. NAEYC’s Code of Ethical Conduct states all of this in section I part 1.4, “To create and maintain safe and healthy settings that foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical development

This includes qualities such as patience, professionalism, and being kind. It should be common sense that if you do not have patience you should not be teaching young children. They are going to be difficult to handle sometimes and if you can’t roll with the punches then you shouldn’t be there at all. It is the teacher’s job to keep them safe. To keep them safe they need a calm environment. As the teacher one sets an example. If one is cool, calm, and collected it can reflect positively through the children. “Our paramount responsibility is to provide care and education in settings that are safe, healthy, nurturing, and responsive for each child.” States NAECY’s Code of Ethical Conduct. Patience is the key.
In summary I believe to be an Early Childhood Educator one has to be able to keep up with everything. There is no single purpose to educate, but if I had to choose a soul representative it would be to shape our world. Children’s needs must be met in order to do that. To be am Early Childhood Educator one has to be patient, patient, and patient. Putting all of these things together gives one the end product of a successful
As an educator, I have strived to develop academic, social and emotional competencies in my students through creating a positive, enthusiastic and nurturing classroom environment with ample opportunities for hands-on experiences. I am passionate about fostering confident and curious lifelong learners by providing all students with opportunities to succeed in the classroom. I believe the role of a Early Childhood teacher is to address the necessary balance between academic facilitation within the classroom, and promoting a broadened cultural understanding of the world outside the classroom as a global citizen. To encourage each child to be themselves and help them gain self-esteem. Also, as a bilingual speaker I strongly believe in the importance of foreign language and cultural diversity, especially within the minds of young, developing learners.
Nelson Mandela once proclaimed that, “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to the change the world.” In truth, education impacts every individual in some way. Education helps people to develop necessary life skills as well as self worth, and helps individuals change their life situation.
2. To develop an understanding of the responsibilities that goes along with being an early childhood educator.
Patient: When working with children you have to have an easygoing type of mindset. As a teacher it is important for the students to feel safe and children are very good at picking up on emotions, so if you come into your classroom stressed, they may be able to feel that causing tension in the classroom

“Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world”-Nelson Mandela
I always knew that going to school and getting an education was important. Nelson Mandela once said “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” I highly believe in education being the most powerful weapon a human can use.
Flexibility, creativity, and patience are the essential qualities of an effective early childcare professional. These characteristics develop teaching and learning because children do not always follow directions and learn new task quickly, therefore a teacher must patiently repeat and reinforce directions and behavioral guidelines. As an early childhood teacher, patience will be something I will use to adapt to any situation that I encounter in the field. Consequently, I will be using management skills in my classroom and focusing on helping children develop their own strengths. On the other hand, it is important that as a teacher I understand how the children grow and develop, because it will give me an
As, I continue on this journey to become an early childcare educator. I have established a firm belief that every child is unique! I also realize that not every child develops in the same manner as the next. The main goals educators should strive for is to provide guidance, support, and willingness to teach families on advocating for children as well as helping themselves when it come to their additional needs to support their families. I truly believe that my desire to help children and families grow as a unit is essential part of being an educator. By introducing parents to all the different resources that North Carolina has to offer when it comes to not only educational assistance/ support but personal resources also. Opening their eyes
A good early childhood educator is knowledgeable and conscious of how children develop. Therefore, an important part of a good education is
Nelson Mandela once said, “ Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Knowledge is the foundation of education, and the tool people need to bring about a difference in the way the world thinks. Mandela is best known for working to free the blacks in South Africa by battling peacefully for the rights of the people. After years of personal sacrifice fighting for independence and racial equality, he was voted president and changed South Africa by allowing blacks and white to vote in government elections and for bringing people of different races
Early childhood education (ECE) has an important influence on children. This affect can make children’s life not only easy but also very hard. In my first personal philosophy statement (PPS1), I mentioned some purposes that for me they should cover in early childhood curriculum. I believe that the purposes in PPS1 can help children to gain many abilities such as academic, social and language. However, I think that the main purpose of childhood education should be to make children happy because when children are happy, the whole world can be happy. If they are not happy in their classes, teachers cannot prepare an environment to help them to learn what they aim. When they are ready to learn, they can gain the purposes that they can develop themselves
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela. Without education, there is simply no telling of what this world would be like. There wouldn’t be doctors, lawyers, businesses etc. Life and everything around us would be fatuous. Schools and education give us a plan in life and help guide us. Throughout the years education has changed tremendously. It had its improvements throughout the decades, and it also has had its falters as well. Education in America is an issue in this country and it definitely needs to be tweaked and improved. Education is what makes us people who we are and what we will be. Nelson Mandela had it right, there is no weapon more powerful than education.
Firstly, considering the health benefits of this topic, education can improve your mental health and physical health. Education will give an individual the developing skills one will need, to care and maintain one’s health needs. This being, individuals with higher levels of education have a better understanding on what a healthy body needs, and the importance of regular tests and screenings to maintain a body’s health. Higher educated woman are more prone to undertake regular screenings as evidence from Canada, United states, United Kingdom and Australia has displayed. (Federici, 2011)
Philanthropist, anti-apartheid revolutionary, and politician who also served as President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, the most powerful weapon that one can use to change the world is education( Mandela n.p). Despite the literacy level gradually raising globally due to advancement in technology that has made learning easy, fast and efficient. Most of the countries in Africa, Asia and some states in America still languish in poverty due to high rates of unemployment and low minimum wages. These unfortunate and deplorable conditions have deterred these areas from experiencing the transformative power of education (Lockheed 25). At the center stage of these challenges that are facing the education sector on the global scale is the cost of
