The Omega Omega chapter has improved its leadership, membership outreach, service, and projects from last year. It all started when the chapter from last year decided to only have 8 officers instead of 15 because many officers would quit and were not committed to their duties. This move would help this year’s officer team from the start. With new leadership, the officers recommended that the old officers would show them the ropes of how the chapter worked. Each officer met with the previous officer who held their position. Once that was done the officer team decided to do a fellowship activity to understand each other and become family.
Membership outreach: Last year’s officer team did not attempt to reach out to their members
“You are the new Leading Petty Officer.” This was uttered to me by a volunteer adult leader as a 15 year old Naval Sea Cadet following the division’s tragic loss of two petty officers, in what was dubbed by the media as the “Hail Mary Murder” (reference a). It was only about a year into my experience as a Sea Cadet when the senior most cadet in the unit was killed by another cadet petty officer. A third senior cadet, who was very close to the other two, dropped out of the program as he couldn’t bear the trauma of coming back to the division. That left me next in the cadet chain of command. At 15 years old, this unfortunate event put me in charge of about 20 other teenagers, some much older than me, and all reeling from the loss of
At the beginning of the year I helped set up for the chapter banquet and helped do opening ceremonies with the conduct team. This was when I was elected chapter reporter.
I’m currently seeking membership in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated, for brotherhood and a friendship, with successful leaders who strive to compel an impact in their communities. Through all my interactions and meeting with members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, the features that stood out to me the most that made me personally want to become a member were the friendship they held with each other, and those of similar characteristics. The fact that they were willing to help other men continue to grow and better themselves in any way they could. The men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated that I have met, have pushed myself to become a better man and friend. These bonds have added a value to my life that I am forever grateful for.
I first learned about Omega Psi Phi when I was a child. One of my late father’s best friends would always wear Omega apparel no matter what was going on. The Omega man’s name is Marquette Allen but I always knew him as “Tiny” and this man is far from being small. I grew up with his sons as friends on into high school where we all played football.
The consequences of undiagnosed and untreated OSA are medically serious and economically costly. Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is considered the gold standard of treatment for OSA along with lifestyle modifications. With CPAP use, patients can reduce their healthcare utilization and save money by reducing the impact of OSA symptoms, comorbidities, and motor vehicle accidents. Direct costs associated with comorbidities include increased medical expenses, emergency room visits, hospital inpatient visits, medication use, and mortality rates (American Academy of Sleep Medicine, 2016).
Due to advancements and numerous changes, the next Beta Officers must be very optimistic, determined, mature, organized, and open minded; because
As the population of cats in North America increases, so does the ownership of them as pets. Omega Paw’s novel and unique litter box, self-cleaning with a closed top, has tapped into the market with customer satisfaction and positive reviews. The company looks forward to reflect this positivity with an increase in sales and profit levels. Introducing the product in grocery stores would result in weekly sales of $126,000, highest among other alternatives. With direct and indirect competition along with the production constraints, Ebert (president) is motivated to break through these barriers and prolong the growth phase of this product with increased sales and profits.
Candidate Ozuna was very confident and briefed the five paragraph order clearly and thoroughly. SNC ensure his fire team had a clear understanding of the mission by repeating it and asking if there were any questions regarding the mission. He gave specific orders of where each fire team member was to place themselves in the formation as well as what the succession of command would be if he were to become a casualty. During the patrol, SNC ensured proper dispersion of the fire team as they patrolled. He was constantly keeping eye contact with his fire team members and utilized hand and arm signals well. SNC was able to make quick and sound decisions at the point of friction. He ensured the buddy rushes were done in a manner that was able
Responsible officer at other chapter events. Ongoing for spring 2018 Chapter will cultivate an environment of respect at chapter meetings.
After the ceremony was over they were all waiting out in front of the conference hall, talking to new members and answering any questions. They kept the atmosphere fun and laid back, greeting sponsors and welcoming new members. Other societies that I have been involved with didn't have that level of commitment from their officers to their members, so I was pleased when I saw it happening. I was also happy to see how helpful the officers, and even current members, were. I went to the induction ceremony with a heavy amount of questions, and left with them all answered. Each person I talked to was very nice and understanding, and if they couldn't answer a question they were more than happy to direct me to someone who could.
To my Officers: Within my mistakes and successes, I have learned the meaning of teamwork. I knew support, integrity, and the ability to handle difficult situations with exceptional leadership and

As a previous officer of Phi Theta Kappa I have experience rejection, defamation, and alienation from part of some officer members. Although this does not hold true from every officer, there were two team members who possessed a very negative and selfish personality. Growing up, I was thought that a team was to fight together to achieve a common goal and pursue each other's success. Unfortunately, Alpha Mu Tau failed to follow those ideals. People seemed to be very entitled and power oriented, behaviors that destroyed the team during my tenure as officer. I know I was criticized and finger pointed in my absence. Moreover, I was constantly alienated and excluded from executive decisions that all officer were suppose to participate on. Although
This essay is to discuss the group dynamics of DIA's First Class Petty Officer Association and where it is in terms of group development. Group dynamics is the processes involved when people in a group interact with each other. The term "Group Dynamics" was founded by Kurt Lewin, a social psychologist in the 1940s. As DIA's FCPOA is just beginning it is important to learn the foundation of how groups are formed to ensure that the association is an effective group.
Patients with either condition experience somewhat similar symptoms. Both OM and IOE are characterized by severe pain, decreased hearing, and a discharge of pus.
