What it means to be a professional and how this links to the PTPT code of conduct and the importance of professionalism.

Within the workplace a professional is someone who's is constantly striving for excellence and continuously meets the regulatory standards set by the General Pharmaceutical council (GPHC). There are three types of professional interpersonal (this is contact between patients and college, where the individual will perform selfless acts to help others), public professionalism (this is societies expectation of what it means to be a professional, having the knowledge, being approachable, responsible) and intrapersonal professional (this is your own individual professionalism where by you are responsible for making sure your knowledge is up to date and providing genuine care. The GPHC code of conduct is an extension of the of GPHC standards, which outline what is expected of trainee pharmacy technicians, following these standards will help ensure that all technicians not only follow the trust values but also maintain professionalism throughout their training and their career. Within this essay I will examine how to define a professional within the workplace and the characteristics that are associated with a professional, as well as comparing these traits to the PTPT code The GPHC code of conduct for PTPTs:
