Pandas are suffering and dying more and more everyday because of global warming. They say between eighty and a hundred percent of livable pandas habitat will diaper from the region in China's Qinling Mountains by the end of the twenty first century (Pandas Threatened by climate change, news.discovery.com). Global warming is decreasing the amount of bamboo, which is taking away food from the pandas and other animals, and that is decreasing their population. Global warming has many reason effects and reason of why it is happening, a lot of people also have different opinion on the subject. Global warming is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth's atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons, and other pollutants. (What is global warming, google.com). Scientists have stated that the rise in average temperatures worldwide since the late 1800s. Earth's temperature has gone up by 1.4 degrees over the past century, according to the Environmental Protection Agency. Temperatures are to rise another 2 to 11.5 degrees over the next 100 years (what is global warming, livescience.com). Human are one of the main causes for global warming, all of the cars, factors and electricity production they have created. They have also created Greenhouse which gases …show more content…
Many ways to tell that global warming is true is, greenhouses, cars, pollution, the change in the climate, killings of tress and many more. All these things show that global warming is true because a these things are polluting the air and making things around the world decrease. It is killing plants, animals and even people. Global warming is something that people don't take seriously, people think it's not real and that the economy is doing great when that isn't the case. Global warming is something that is real and it need to be fixed before it gets
Global warming is the recent and ongoing rise of temperature on a global scale. Over the past century, the Earth's average temperature has risen 1.4°F (Carlowicz, 2010). Global warming is the effect of an excessive amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Greenhouse gasses trap heat from escaping back into space to keep the Earth from freezing, this is called the Greenhouse Effect. An excessive amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere trap too much heat, thus, causing Earth's temperature to rise.
Global warming refers to the rise in temperature in the Earth's atmosphere and oceans. Each year the temperature of the Earth increases gradually with an insignificant amount; however, with pollution produced by humans, the rate has increased even more compared to pre-industrial levels. According to NOAA, "Global surface temperature in 2016 was the warmest since official records began in 1880. It was the third year in a row to set a new heat record, and the fifth time the record has been broken since the start of the 21st century.” The earth is getting warmer every day and is starting to become a real problem, especially when it is approaching the threshold. The rise in temperature is so rapid that it could influence and change the composition of the world's population. In fact, the consequences of global warming are unnoticed in our daily lives because they are affecting us slowly. The rising average temperature of Earth is changing our lives for little things. There is much evidence that the Earth is warming as a result of the increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Perhaps the most notable signs of global warming are the natural catastrophes like hurricanes and winter storms. The effects of global warming are different all over the world, and they affect people's lives differently. People should be concerned about global warming and its effects because we only have one planet where we can
The climate change over the years has brought the extinction rate of the pandas to rise at an
Panda’s specific name are Ailuropoda melanoleuca and are part of the bear family. They are normally black and white. They are typically 4 to 6 feet tall and around 200 to 300 pounds. The length of an adult panda is about about 3.9-5.9 feet. Their physical features are black fur on ears, area around eyes, nose/muzzle, legs, arms, and shoulders. The rest of the coat is white, their tail length is 3.9 to 7.9 inches, have shaggy fur on the back, soft and long fur on their belly. Pandas prefer cold and wet habitats, and they like being isolated from others. They are naturally very good at climbing trees, and have impressive eyesight to help hunt for food at night. Although pandas are solitary creatures they do communicate
Global warming, a major concern in today’s society, is the increase in the temperature of the oceans and atmosphere that occurs when incoming energy levels are greater than outgoing energy levels. There are numerous causes of global warming that can potentially affect every aspect of life on Earth. Typically, the causes of global warming are divided into two primary categories: human causes and natural causes. And while there is very little that humans can do to eliminate the natural causes, there are several ways we can reduce the human causes.
Habitat loss is one of the most evident effects of climate change on animals. Forests, as well as deserts support many forms of life. It is the home of insects and animals like bears, and birds. If forests will be cleared out for the development of land for families, business and farming purposes, animals will loose their homes and food. Because of deforestation, many of the trees and the other plants that provide food to the herbivorous animals will get extinct at a faster speed. Droughts caused by global warming could dry up 90 percent of central U.S. wetlands, eliminating essential breeding habitat for ducks, geese and other traveling species (National Wildlife Federation). Climate change is the main reason to wildlife's survival and putting natural resources in danger. The change in temperature caused by global warming has many effects on the habitats of animals. The melting ice will cause the loss of habitat for species such as the polar bears, penguins, and seals. The arctic ice that is melting makes it difficult for polar bears to hunt. Warmer water will also cause the population of fish such as trout
Giant Panda Bears (Aliuropoda melanoleuca) are by far the cutest mammal alive and can be the most stubborn when it deals with certain behaviors. Panda are considered to become extinct due to the fact that they are starving because bamboo is dying and they take a long time to germinate (National geographic 2016). In order to save the species from becoming extinct, some Giant Panda Bears are captured so they can mate with other Panda Bear to produce more offspring. One may think that the panda bears that are kept in captivity can easily mate with other panda bear but that is not the case. Giant Panda bears are particular when it comes to their partners and if one Giant Panda bear does not like the other bear, they will show no interest in mating
I read two articles that I found interesting on the science daily website. The first article is about how nutrient pollution is changing the sounds in the sea. The second was a video about a comeback for Pandas.
Panda bears are considered as a critically endangered species as their population have been constantly declining for years due to the various threats they face within their environment. Low population can lead to these panda bear facing a significant risk of extinction. According to a recent census taken in 2014, it has been reported that there were 1,864 giant pandas alive in the world.
The Giant Panda is a member of the bear family. It also is closely related to raccoons, weasels, and skunks. Nevertheless, it primarily resembles a bear, considering it has a similar size and shape. Its fur is thick, mainly white, with black spots on its shoulders, limbs, ears, and patches surrounding its eyes. It has a chubby figure, with short legs and a stubby tail. It grows to be from 5 to 6 feet long, adults weighing anywhere from around 200 to 300 pounds. Its lifespan is commonly 20 to 25 years, the longest recorded being 30.
The zoo, as an institution, has changed and evolved over thousands of years of human history. And while zoological gardens have improved immensely, and now appear to have a greater purpose than its predecessors, it has always, and still is, generating an active debate over its existence. The zoo can be looked at from several different angles. The zoo holds itself as a conservation community, research oriented for captive breeding, and an educational center for young minds. All the while working in the entertainment industry and running their facilities like a business. They contradict themselves with those different aspects, yet they still manage to somehow find justification for each. The Giant Panda, known in the scientific community as
Global warming is an increase in the temperature of the earth's weather. Global warming is also known as the green house effect. Global warming is a very serious world issue. Most humans are trying to do as much as they can to help stop global warming. Global warming has caused many problems to the earth in addition to the humans that live here on the earth. A problem caused by global warming is very hot summers. Some summers have had days that the temperature had reached 30*C. Another Problem that global warming has caused is the melting of polar ice caps. Global warming caused the polar ice caps to melt which will cause the ice to break free as well as melt in the sea, sea levels all over the world will rise. Lastly,
Society should be educated about the causes of global warming due to the way people are treating the environment. According to a continuous study done by N.A.S.A. the Earth’s global temperature has risen by 0.8 degrees Celsius, 1.4 if converted into degrees Fahrenheit, since the year 1880. Currently sitting at 14.82 degrees Celsius, predicted to rise another 6.4 degrees Celsius during the 21st century, human activities continue to add carbon dioxide into the air. Global energy all depends on how much is radiated from the sun and how much is released back into outer space. When humans over produce CO2 some of the energy is unable to escape, causing a greenhouse effect continually heating the globe. Global Warming, also known as the Greenhouse effect, is a problem everyone will soon have to face.
To start, global warming has been a growing problem for several years across the world. Global warming is the warming of the Earth's atmosphere (Ward 56). The increase in temperature has to be over a long period of time. When toxic gases like carbon dioxide and methane are released into the open air and are trapped in the atmosphere (Staff). These greenhouse gases destroy the ozone layer, making sunrays easier to reach Earth. This depletion overall increases the heat in the world. In fact, the greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere cause a spike in global temperature, known as global warming.
Global warming is phenomena linked with temperature rising because of emissions of carbondioxide and other gases. It is one of the most important debates of today because of seriousness of its impact on life on earth. The issue though is debated for its being just a reality or as a theory. Scientists are of the view and they provide evidences as well to support their argument that industrializationand energy utilization has caused emissions of certain gases to our atmosphere. Those emissions are causing temperature rise globally. So, in one way or the other, humans are cause of this trouble to the planet earth. They say that the rising temperature is melting glaciers and raising water level which would cause floods. On the
